Nine American troops killed in battle with Iraqi Resistance forces at southern entrance to al-Karabilah village, Monday morning.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a column of American armored vehicles and armored Humvees at the southern entrance to the village of al-Karabilah, east of the city of al-Qa’im on the border with Syria at 9am Monday morning. Villagers told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including pipe rockets and mortars ambushed the column of six armored vehicles and seven Humvees and fought a battle with them that lasted about 15 minutes. The Resistance forces destroyed three Humvees and disabled two US armored vehicles, killing nine American soldiers and wounding 11 more. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that two Resistance fighters were killed and three more were wounded.

American aircraft bomb al-Karabilah village clinic killing four doctors, patients; US, British planes raze three local mosques to the ground Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US F-16 fighter-bombers and British Tornado warplanes carried out violent air raids on the village of al-Karabilah Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. US aircraft bombed the only medical clinic in the village, killing four doctors and a number of patients who were inside the facility at the time, witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam.

American and British aircraft also bombed the Uways al-Qarni Mosque, the al-Quds ash-Sharif Mosque and the as-Shahabah Mosque in the middle of al-Karabilah at 3pm local time Monday afternoon, razing all three buildings to the ground. The correspondent for Mafakrat al-Islam was unable to get more details on the criminal Anglo-American air raids on civilian targets in the village because American snipers were perched atop buildings and in stores on at-Tujjar street in the north of the city shooting dead anyone who ventured out in the area.

US drive into al-Karabilah Monday afternoon meets violent Iraqi Resistance.

In a dispatch posted at 7:10pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Qa’im had destroyed six US military vehicles and two vehicles belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces during the day. Nine US troops were killed and 16 other American soldiers wounded. Twenty Iraqi puppet soldiers were killed or wounded in an afternoon ambush in al-Karabilah. Witnesses in al-Karabilah told Mafkarat al-Islam that US forces advanced into the middle of their village after fierce fighting that raged during the morning and midday hours. It became apparent, however, that the American advance came following an Iraqi Resistance ambush.

Witnesses reported that Resistance fighters armed with 62mm, 82mm, and 120mm mortars and medium-range Grad and Katyusha rockets ambushed US troops from all directions at 4pm local time Monday afternoon. The Resistance fighters were also able to detonate several car bombs by US columns advancing into al-Karabilah, destroying two US armored vehicles and four Humvees, as well as two vehicles belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces ﾐ bringing the number of US casualties to nine dead and 16 wounded and the number of Iraqi puppet casualties to 20. After suffering these losses, US forces and their Iraqi stooges withdrew to the northern parts of the city.

Resistance bomb kills US soldier in ar-Ramadi Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of five US Humvees in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood in the middle of ar-Ramadi. Witnesses told the correspondent that the blast set one of the vehicles ablaze, killing one US soldier and wounding four more.

Nine collaborators with US occupation troops killed in Resistance ambush Monday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a column of four-wheel drive vehicles (the type used by profiteer contractors and officials collaborating with the American occupation forces) on the highway north of ar-Ramadi at 2:15pm local time Monday afternoon. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in ar-Ramadi reported residents of the al-Bu Faraj village north of the city as saying that about 12 Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and BKC rockets attacked the column of four four-wheel drive vehicles. The Resistance fighters totally destroyed the four vehicles, killing nine collaborators with the occupation forces.

Resistance roadside bomb kills three US troops in ar-Ramadi Monday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a column of eight US Humvees in the az-Zuyut area in the middle of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad at 10am Monday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in ar-Ramadi reported residents of the az-Zuyut district as saying that the bomb was planted by the side of the road leading to the center of the city and that it exploded as the US column passed by, destroying one Humvee and killing three US troops and wounding two more.

Resistance fighters attack American patrol in puppet police station in western Baghdad early Monday; Resistance martyrdom fighter follows up with car bomb.

More than 20 Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police station in the al-Mahdiyah area of the al-Bayya‘ district of western Baghdad around 6am Monday morning. Residents of al-Bayya‘ who witnessed the assault told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighters were armed with light and medium weapons including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and mortars and that they mounted their attack on the puppet police station when a US patrol of five Humvees was present inside the station.

In the course of the attack ﾐ which lasted a full hour ﾐ the Iraqi Resistance fighters destroyed two Humvees and three pickups belonging to the puppet police and seized large quantities of light and medium weapons. Three US soldiers were killed and five more of them wounded and six Iraqi puppet policemen were killed and eight more of them wounded in the attack, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter then drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet police station in the al-Bayya‘ neighborhood of southern Baghdad, killing four puppet policemen and wounding four more. One more puppet policeman was listed as missing after the blast, Mafkarat al-Islam reported in a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Monday morning. Quds Press reported witnesses as saying that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the US patrol near the puppet police station with shoulder-fired rockets and automatic weapons, totally destroying one US vehicle. Then, the sources said, an explosives-packed car blew up by the American patrol.

A US military statement said that the attack killed four Iraqi puppet policemen with a fifth being listed as missing and four others wounded. The American statement made no mention of US losses in the double attack, Quds Press noted in its dispatch on the attack posted at 5:25am Monday morning GMT. Quds Press reported witnesses as saying, however, that at least two of the US troops were killed in the car bomb blast and they could not say how many might have fallen in the firefight that preceded it.

Iraqi Resistance fighters ambush US-Iraqi puppet patrol in southwest Baghdad early Monday.

A detachment of about nine Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and hand grenades, attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol in as-Sayyidiyah in southwest Baghdad at 8am Monday morning, local time. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the attack occurred on the street that links as-Sayyidiyah with the al-Bayya‘ district of Baghdad. The fighting went on for about 15 minutes and left two US soldiers dead and one other wounded. Four Iraqi puppet troops were killed and five others wounded. The witnesses said that three Resistance fighters were also wounded in the engagement.

Resistance bomb destroys Humvee killing four US troops.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a US military patrol in the Baghdad al-Jadidah district of eastern Baghdad at 10am local time Monday morning. The correspondent for iMafkarat al-Islam reported local witnesses as saying that the bomb was planted by the side of the main road in the area and that it blew up at the instant that a patrol of four US Humvees passed by. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing its four man crew.

Resistance car bomb blasts US patrol at noon Monday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the city of Diyala, northeast of Baghdad at 12 noon Monday, local time. Residents of the Khurasan district in the middle of the city told Mafkarat al-Islam that an explosives-packed Opel car was parked by the side of the main road in the Khurasan area and when a patrol of six American Humvees passed by, it exploded. The witnesses reported that the blast set one of the vehicles ablaze and killed two American troops and wounded four more US soldiers.

Resistance bombards US base near Bayji Monday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired nine mortar rounds into the US base in the as-Siniyah area west of Bayji at 3pm local time Monday afternoon. The barrage produced nine explosions inside the base, followed by secondary blasts. Plumes of smoke rose into the sky over the US-occupied facility, witnesses in the area told Mafkarat al-Islam.

Resistance fighters assault puppet police checkpoint south of Bayji.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police checkpoint south of Bayji on Monday. A puppet security source told the Saudi News Agency (WAS) that the Resistance fighters driving two cars attacked the check point south of Bayji sparking a firefight with the puppet police. In its dispatch posted at 2:37pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, WAS reported that the Resistance fighters killed three puppet police and that two Resistance fighters were killed in the engagement.

Resistance attacks throughout Salah ad-Din province leave puppet forces collaborators dead.

Iraqi Resistance forces killed one Iraqi puppet soldier, three Iraqi puppet policemen, and two Iraqi collaborator truck drivers in various attacks in Bayji, Balad, ad-Dujayl, and al-Khalis on Monday. In a dispatch updated at 11:52pm Monday night Mecca time, the website for al-Jazeera satellite TV reported that in addition to those attacks, the Iraqi puppet police had discovered the bodies of two more Iraqi truck drivers south of the city of ad-Dawr.

Resistance bomb kills two US troops Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road leading to al-Huwayjah, west of Kirkuk at 3pm Monday afternoon, local time. Residents of the al-‘Abbasi area south of al-Huwayjah told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb, planted on the main road in the area blew up as a column of six US armored vehicles was passing, disabling one and killing two US troops and wounding four more.

Resistance car bomb targets puppet police chief in Laylan Monday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by the motorcade of the puppet police chief in the city of Laylan, southeast of Kirkuk. Puppet security sources told the Saudi News Agency (WAS) that the blast, which occurred on al-Kurnish Street in the east of Laylan, wounded four Iraqi puppet policemen. The puppet officials claimed that Lieutenant Colonel Nuzad ‘Abdallah, the puppet police chief was unhurt in the attack. In its dispatch posted at 11:27am Mecca time Monday morning, WAS reported hospital officials in Laylan as saying that three of the four puppet policemen wounded in the blast suffered serious injuries. WAS quoted the hospital representatives as saying that a woman and child were also brought to the hospital with injuries received in the blast.

Resistance car bomb blasts checkpoint, killing five puppet troops.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-packed car into an Iraqi puppet army checkpoint in Kirkuk on Monday. In a dispatch updated at 11:52pm Monday night Mecca time, al-Jazeera satellite TV’s website reported that the blast killed five Iraqi puppet soldiers and wounded three more.

Resistance bombards local US headquarters in Mosul Monday morning.

At 10am local time Monday morning Iraqi Resistance forces fired eight mortar rounds into the Presidential Palace in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, now being occupied by US troops and used as their local headquarters. A source in the puppet so-called “rapid deployment forces” who asked not to be identified told Mafkarat al-Islam that the barrage destroyed one observation center in the palace, killing two US troops and wounding another. Two Humvees were also set on fire in the bombardment.

Early morning Resistance attack destroys US encampment in Mosul.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into a joint US-Iraqi puppet camp located near the puppet Provincial government building in the middle of Mosul at 5am Monday morning local time, setting the camp on fire and destroying it. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam who reported the attack had no specific information on the extent of US casualties.

US admits: Resistance bomb kills US soldier.

An Iraqi Resistance homemade bomb exploded by a US patrol near the city of Tall ‘Afar, west of Mosul. In a dispatch posted at 1:09pm Monday, Mecca time, the Saudi News Agency WAS reported that the US military admitted that one American soldier died in the bomb attack.

Resistance car bomb kills Kurdish collaborator Security Chief in Halabjah.

In a dispatch updated at 11:52pm Mecca time Monday night, al-Jazeera satellite TV’s website reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded and killed the collaborator Kurdish Director of Security for the town of Halabjah in northern Iraq along with three of his bodyguards.

Resistance martyrdom fighter blasts Iraqi puppet police, killing 20 in Irbil.

An Iraqi Resistance fighter drove an explosives-packed car into a training center for puppet traffic police. The car had been parked near a cement barrier by a training center for traffic police on the road to Kirkuk and then attacked the puppet police training center at about 8:30am Monday morning, according to a member of the Kurdish chauvinist Peshmergah militia who spoke to Quds Press. The source said that guards at the training center opened fire on the car as it raced towards them but were unable to stop it and it burst into the building where some 200 puppet policemen were gathered.

Immediately after the attack the area was sealed off and journalists were prevented from approaching as US troops were called in to help their Kurdish stooges control the scene. In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam quoted a broadcast by al-Jazeera satellite TV as saying that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom bomber drove an explosives-laden car from a place near a building towards the football stadium in which more than 200 puppet police recruits were gathered early Monday morning for training.

The American Associated Press (AP) for its part reported puppet officials as saying that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter dressed as a puppet policeman blew himself up in the middle of a morning roll call Monday outside a traffic police headquarters in the northern Kurdish city of Irbil, killing at least 20 and wounding 50. The AP reported that a Resistance fighter on foot joined the gathering of some 200 traffic wardens in a courtyard at 8am local time, according to puppet police Colonel Muhammad Salih and Lieutenant Colonel Abd as-Salam Zibari.

The AP noted that the bombing came a day after the puppet so-called “Iraqi foreign minister” Hushyar Zibari said there are many relatively stable areas in Iraq, such as Irbil in the north and al-Basrah in the south. Late in the day, in a dispatch updated at 11:52pm Mecca time, the website for al-Jazeera satellite TV reported the puppet “governor” of Irbil Province, Nuzad Hadi, as saying that 13 puppet policemen were killed and 107 were wounded in the car bombing. The puppet “governor” confirmed that all the casualties were puppet police. Al-Jazeera noted that the American Associated Press by that time had revised its figure for the death toll down to 15 dead.

Puppet forces arrest Sunni religious leader Sunday.

Puppet so-called “Iraqi national guards” on Sunday arrested Shaykh Talb Hizam, the Imam of the as-Salman Mosque in the as-Salman district of as-Samawah, some 270km south of Baghdad. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the puppet forces came and arrested Shaykh Talib, his nephew, an in-law and his son. The sources said that the local “national guards” are all in fact members of the Shi‘i chauvinist Badr Brigades, the armed wing of the collaborationist Shi‘i chauvinist so-called Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) whose men invaded Iraq together with US troops in 2003 and then became the backbone of the occupation regime’s security services, particularly in the south of the country. The latest arrest of Sunni citizens is the latest step in the puppet regime’s drive to stir up sectarian conflict in Iraq.
