Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance ambushes, destroys US Marine Armored vehicle early Friday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance fighters fired three RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades into a US Marine armored vehicle at the entrance to the al-Bu Faraj area to the north of ar-Ramadi at 1:30pm local time Friday afternoon. A source in the local puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the attack completely destroyed the armored vehicle, killing five US Marines who were in it. One Marine escaped from the vehicle but was severely wounded, the source said.

The Resistance organization Base Qa‘idah of the Jihad in the Land of the Two Rivers announced its responsibility for the attack in a communiqu, a copy of which was obtained by the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam.

For their part the US forces, broadcasting on their “al-Hurriyah” radio propaganda station beamed at residents of ar-Ramadi, acknowledged that the attack occurred but claimed that only two Americans had died.

Hit.

Resistance bombards US base in Hit Thursday night.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US ‘Ayn al-Asad air base in the city of Hit in western Iraq with seven rockets on Thursday. Witnesses in the city told Mafkarat al-Islam that the barrage set fires blazing in the northern part of the base and three explosions shook the eastern part of the American-occupied facility.

The correspondent was unable to get any information on the extent of casualties and destruction in the base because the US occupation forces had put the city of Hit under curfew during the night making it impossible to venture out.

For its part the Partisans of the Sunnah Prophet’s Practice issued a communiqu, a copy of which was obtained by the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent, in which it took responsibility for the bombardment.

Al-Qa’im.

Two caches of bodies found near al-Qa’im.

The bodies of 17 persons were discovered in various locations near the city of al-Qa’im on the border with Syria, according to witnesses quoted in a report by al-Jazeera satellite TV and monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam on Friday. Eleven of the bodies had been executed by gunshots to the head, the rest had been decapitated.

Al-Jazeera reported witnesses as saying that the 11 bodies killed by gunshots to the head had apparently been executed: they were blindfolded and their hands were bound behind their backs. They were wearing civilian clothing. The corpses were discovered in the small village of al-Jubab, 30km east of al-Qa’im. It was unclear when they were killed.

For its part the puppet so-called “Iraqi ministry of the interior” confirmed the discovery of six other bodies outside the village of Fasfat, near al-Qa’im, on Thursday. Those individuals also were wearing civilian clothes and had civilian identity papers in their pockets. It was unclear as to whether the bodies were those of puppet regime soldiers or of civilians.

The Resistance organization Base Qa‘idah of the Jihad in the Land of the Two Rivers issued a statement on the Internet on Thursday saying that it was holding 36 Iraqi puppet troops ﾐ not 22 as the puppet police had claimed ﾐ and demanded that the puppet regime release all the women it is holding in its prisons and detention centers within 24 hours. The al-Qa‘idah statement said that the puppet troops were being interrogated regarding crimes that had been committed against the Sunni population of Iraq.

Al-Haqlaniyah.

US admits Resistance bomb killed five Marines Thursday.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded near al-Haqlaniyah, killing five US Marines on Thursday the American military admitted in a statement published Friday and reported by the US Associated Press (AP) news agency.

The American statement reported that the Marines were assigned to the 2nd Marine Division’s Regimental Combat Team 2. Their identities were not released.

Baghdad.

Six US troops die in Resistance bombing in ad-Durah Friday afternoon.

A high-explosive Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb blew up by a US patrol in the south Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah at 6pm Friday afternoon, local time. A source in the Iraqi puppet military told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed one armored Humvee, killing six US troops who were aboard it and wounding another three who were in another vehicle in the column.

After the attack, US forces completely surrounded the area, imposing a curfew for nearly two hours during which time they evacuated their casualties.

Resistance attack eliminates puppet “General Director” for fighting “Terrorism.”

In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-packed car into the motorcade carrying Major General Ahmad Jaff, the Iraqi puppet regime’s General Director for fighting so-called “terrorism” in ar-Ridwaniyah, southwest of Baghdad on Friday morning, killing him.

An official puppet regime source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance car bomber drove into the puppet official’s car as his motorcade was leaving ar-Ridwaniyah following an inspection visit he had paid to a puppet military post there. The blast killed Major General al-Jaff and a large number of his companions. Four cars were set ablaze and destroyed.

After the attack US forces and Iraqi puppet troops surrounded the whole area. The correspondent reported that with the killing of the puppet official running the regime’s fight against the Resistance, the Americans and their stooges appear incapable of doing anything to stop the relentless onslaught of the Resistance. This has been particularly brought home in recent days as numerous American and puppet officials have been killed in Resistance attacks.

The correspondent reported from the scene of the attack that after the Americans surrounded the area and learned of the death of al-Jaff they seemed to accept the death as a matter of fact and routinely guarded the area to protect themselves against any possible bomb explosions or car bomb attacks.

The Americans left the task of clearing away the bodies and the wrecked vehicles to the Iraqi puppet forces who seemed mush more frightened and alarmed by the attack than the Americans.

Resistance downs American helicopter near Balad Friday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 9:15pm Friday night Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US helicopter over Balad, north of Baghdad, at 3pm Friday afternoon local time. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported security force sources in the city’s puppet police station confirmed that Resistance ground fire had brought down a US helicopter that crashed in the Tall adh-Dhahab area north of Balad, killing the American crew.

Local witnesses, who offered somewhat conflicting reports, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighters fired a heat-seeking missile to bring down the helicopter, but the puppet police and local witnesses were agreed that the helicopter plummeted to earth with a fire burning in its tail and the crew still aboard. The source in the local puppet police confirmed that the crew had been killed in the crash. At the time of reporting, US forces had closed off the area where the helicopter went down and were searching for the remains of the crew.

Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that this was the second US helicopter to be shot down in that area within 24 hours.

Kirkuk.

Resistance fighters kill puppet “anti-corruption” police chief in Kirkuk.

Iraqi Resistance forces killed the puppet “director of the anti-corruption department” in Kirkuk, Colonel Rahim ‘Uthman, and his aide Ghanim Jabbar on Friday. Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported the puppet police commander for al-Miqdad as saying that Resistnace fighters in a car opened fire on the vehicle in which Colonel ‘Uthman was riding along with his aide and killed them both.

Puppet chief of police in Kirkuk survives attempt on his life.

The chief of the puppet police in Kirkuk, Turhan Yusuf, announced on Friday that he had survived an assassination attempt when an Iraqi Resistance fighter shot at his car. Yusuf pointed out that his car had been damaged in the attack, but he himself was unhurt, al-Jazeera satellite TV reported.

Al-Basrah Province.

Resistance land mine kills four British troops monitoring mosque services.

An Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded by a British foot patrol in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah midday Friday. The British patrol was snooping outside a Sunni mosque in the al-Jaza’ir section of the city.

It is standard practice for US, British, and other occupation forces to bring collaborator translators and gather around mosques to monitor Friday sermons throughout Iraq. In the event that the Imam says anything opposed to the occupation, the forces immediately storm in and arrest the Imam and members of the congregation.

A captain in the Iraqi puppet military, who refused to be identified, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bombing in al-Basrah killed four British troops and wounded several more in varying degrees of severity.

The correspondent reported that when he arrived on the scene of the blast, he found the area packed with British military vehicles. The British evacuated the bodies of their four dead and their wounded men to a British military camp west of the city.

Resistance forces wipe out puppet colonel in al-Basrah Friday.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked and killed puppet Colonel ‘Abd al-Karim ad-Darraji and his brother Qusay in the middle of al-Basrah on Friday. Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported witnesses as saying that the two puppet officials were wearing civilian clothes when four Resistance fighters stopped in front of their unmarked car and opened fire on them.
