Al-Anbar Province.

Hit.

Resistance bomb targets Marines in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 4:25pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by US Marines on International Highway 1 in Hit in western Iraq. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast wrecked a Humvee and killed four US Marines, the body of one of whom was completely burned. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam photographed the burning hulk of the Humvee after US Marines pulled their dead out and evacuated them. Al-Qa’im.

Resistance martyrdom fighter on motorcycle strikes US troops in al-Qa’im Wednesday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter on a motorcycle blew himself up by a gathering of US troops in the eastern part of al-Qa’im on the Syrian border at 2pm Wednesday afternoon local time. A source in the puppet so called “shock troop” police forces told Mafkarat al-Islam that the martyrdom fighter on a motorcycle blew himself up by a group of US troops gathered in front of the al-Ahrar Primary School in al-Qa’im, killing and wounding 14 US troops.

The correspondent observed a large number of US vehicles massed around the scene of the attack, surrounding it from all sides. US helicopters were evacuating the bodies of the dead and wounded from the area.

Ar-Ramadi.

US offers to turn on water, electricity, to provide welfare if residents inform on Resistance fighters to US occupation forces.

US occupation forces announced on their propaganda radio beamed at local residents of ar-Ramadi that the US military would stop raiding houses and mosques, would open roads to local people and turn the electricity and drinking water supply in the city back on if local residents would cooperate by informing the American occupation troops of the locations and bases of Iraqi Resistance fighters operating in the city against the Americans.

The statement on the US radio said that the US would launch a program for employing unemployed youths and offer financial help for those wanting to get married on condition that the men and women of ar-Ramadi cooperate and inform the Americans on the Resistance fighters.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Americans made the announcement more than six times by the time he filed his report (posted at 10:22am Mecca time Wednesday morning). The US propaganda station also jammed other local and international radio stations to force listeners in their cars or homes to hear their announcement.

The statement told residents that they could dial the special local telephone number 104 to contact the occupation troops ﾐ whom they called “the coalition forces” ﾐ to inform them of the whereabouts of Resistance fighters, whom it called “terrorists.”

At the same time, however, the American propaganda radio warned that the people of ar-Ramadi would meet a fate similar to that of the residents of al-Fallujah together with all the destruction inflicted on their city during the US offensives there, if they failed to cooperate with the Americans.

US appoints new puppet “governor” of al-Anbar Province following liquidation of his predecessor by the Resistance.

US occupation authorities in Iraq appointed Ma’mun Sami Rashid the new puppet “governor” of al-Anbar Province, following the liquidation of the last puppet governor on Tuesday. The al-Anbar puppet propaganda chief told Mafkarat al-Islam in ar-Ramadi, the provincial capital, that the new “governor” would hold a press conference later on Wednesday to outline his new policies for the occupied province.

The last puppet “governor” for al-Anbar Province, Raja Nawaf al-Mahlawi was executed by Resistance fighters in al-Qa’im on Tuesday. Occupation troops found his body in the middle of a road outside that city on the border with Syria.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance shoots down unmanned spy plane early Wednesday.

Iraqi Resistance forces shot down an unmanned American reconnaissance plane over al-Khalidiyah, 40km west of al-Fallujah at dawn Wednesday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Khalidiyah reported that Resistance fighters seized the wreckage of the spy plane as US troops were searching for it a half an hour after it crashed to the southwest of al-Khalidiyah.

Al-Khalidiyah residents told Mafkara al-Islam that Resistance fighters brought the aircraft down with machinegun fire, scoring a direct hit on the plane and setting it ablaze in the air. It crashed near al-Khalidiyah Hill south of the city.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb targets US column in al-Fallujah early Wednesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded next to a US military column in the al-Jawlan neighborhood of western al-Fallujah, killing four American troops and wounding others.

At the time of reporting, US troops had sealed off the al-Jawlan neighborhood and the roads leading to it and had surrounded the entire area. Two helicopters had been called in.

A source in the Iraqi puppet military confirmed that four US troops had been killed and others wounded. The correspondent saw an American armored vehicle on fire at the scene.

US forces raid, rob family houses in al-Fallujah neighborhoods early Wednesday.

A local source in al-Fallujah told QudsPress that American forces launched a massive campaign of raids and searches in the city at dawn on Wednesday, arresting eight local individuals. The source, who asked not to be identified for security reasons told QudsPress that US troops at dawn began raids in the neighborhoods of al-Jawlan and al-Jumhuriyah. The source said that a number of local persons were arrested and that the Americans also stole whatever cash, jewelry, and other possessions they could find handy in the houses they raided.

The source said that US forces used noise grenades and other savage methods to terrorize women and children when storming into homes. Most residents were asleep at the time of the raids, given the early hour at which they were carried out.

QudsPress reported that in recent days, al-Fallujah had seen a resumption of armed Resistance operations against US occupation forces and their stooges.

Resistance attacks reported during Tuesday-Wednesday night in al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Fallujah mounted attacks on US occupation troops with rockets and bombs in various places in and around the city on Tuesday-Wednesday night, inflicting dozens of casualties.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported witnesses as saying that Resistance fighters attacked concentrations of US troops at the northern approaches to al-Fallujah at midnight.

A source in the Iraqi puppet army reported that the Resistance fired five Grad rockets that killed seven US troops and wounded eight more.

In the eastern parts of the city, Resistance forces fired three mortar rounds into a US checkpoint, inflicting undetermined casualties.

In al-Fallujah’s northwestern neighborhood of al-Jawlan a high-explosive bomb exploded by a column of several US Humvees, destroying one armored Humvee, the wreckage of which was still in the road after dawn Wednesday morning.

Captain Husayn ‘Ali al-Haydari puppet commander of the northern sector of al-Fallujah confirmed that more than 20 US occupation troops were killed or wounded in the attacks. In response, the US and puppet forces mounted searches and raids in various parts of al-Fallujah in the early hours of Wednesday and the entrances and exits from the city were subjected to much more intense scrutiny.

Baghdad.

Resistance car bomb targets US-puppet joint checkpoint on Airport Road Wednesday morning.

Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-packed car into a joint US-Iraqi puppet force checkpoint on the road to Saddam International Airport at 9:30am local time Wednesday morning. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that a number of US troops could be seen strewn about the ground lying in pools of their blood with American vehicles surrounding them. Two Humvees on the seen were ablaze. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent, however was, unable to determine the condition of the American casualties and how many, if any, had been killed.

QudsPress also quoted local witnesses as saying that before US troops came and sealed off the area, they had seen the bodies of a number of Americans lying in the middle of the road after the attack, which took place near the front gate of Saddam International Airport.

A source in occupied Saddam International Airport told QudsPress that all flights had been delayed for a full hour because the Airport Road had been closed due to the attack. Meanwhile heavy helicopter activity could be observed over the cordoned-off area where the bomb exploded.

Resistance bombards al-Muthanna airport early Wednesday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven mortar rounds into US base set up in the al-Muthanna airfield in western Baghdad at 7am local time Wednesday morning, sending a plume of black smoke rising into the sky over the American-occupied facility. US helicopters came in over the airport.

US troops gun down five of their own puppet police in Abu Ghurayb.

In a bulletin posted at 5:25pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier five members of the Iraqi puppet police were shot dead by US occupation troops in Abu Ghurayb, 30km west of Baghdad.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a Nissan pickup with puppet police license plates carrying five Iraqi puppet policemen had tried to drive into the US Tariq military camp ﾐ a location closed to Iraqis other than puppet police and puppet military personnel. US occupation forces somehow felt doubtful about the pickup truck and so one of them opened fire on the vehicle, killing the five puppet policemen aboard, one of them a lieutenant colonel.

The US military acknowledged the incident and promised to investigate to see whether the American soldier opened fire intentionally. Meanwhile ambulances took the bodies of the five puppet policemen to Abu Ghurayb Hosptial.

Sixty-six “Israeli” companies exporting to occupied Iraq.

Official Zionist radio announced on Wednesday that according to figures published by the “Israeli” export institute, there are currently 66 “Israeli” companies exporting Zionist goods to occupied Iraq, most of them going to the US invaders in that Arab country. Observers note that Zionist firms are known to operate in the area of construction, contracting, ‘security’, the export of food and security apparatuses, and electronics to occupied Iraq. In addition to avowedly Zionist companies there are many “Israeli” firms that function in occupied Iraq under dummy company names or under the cover of other foreign businesses.

In a report monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, Zionist radio reported that during the first quarter of 2005, Zionist exports to the Arab region rose by 8.5 percent, bringing the value of “Israeli” exports to Arab countries to US$42 million.

US to reward Polish satellite regime with US$100 million in military aid to support its presence in occupied Iraq.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told the press on Tuesday, just before meeting Polish Foreign Minister Adam Rotfeld, that the US government would be providing “about US$100 million” in military assistance to Poland to enable the American satellite regime in Warsaw to continue supporting the American occupation of Iraq, in keeping with a “promise” made by US President George W. Bush.

A press release from the US State Department quoted Rice as saying, “Poland can count on funding support for what has been, we know, an expensive, but we really do believe very well worth it, effort.”

The money is part of a package of American assistance of a type being given to satellite regimes that help the United States in the occupation of Iraq. The US is also working on eliminating the requirement that Polish citizens obtain visas before visiting America as a further reward for sending troops to die for US imperialism in the occupied Arab country.

At present there are 1,700 Polish occupation troops in Iraq, but the Polish government has announced plans to withdraw them before 31 December 2005.

Salah ad-Din Province.

At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance martyrdom attack blasts US checkpoint in at-Tarimiyah Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:12am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove a black explosives-laden Caprice into a US checkpoint in at-Tarimiyah. Members of the puppet so-called “wolf brigade” told Mafkarat al-Islam that nine US troops were killed and others wounded and that the checkpoint was totally destroyed.

For his part, puppet First Lieutenant Hazim ‘Abd al-Jabbar said that the car bomb totally destroyed the checkpoint, killing or wounding those manning it. It was the second such martyrdom attack on the checkpoint. At the time of reporting, US forces had encircled the whole area having closed the road leading to the location.

Ninwa Province.

Resistance slips poisoned melons to puppet troops in northern Iraq.

Several Iraqi puppet soldiers were hospitalized in northern Iraq after eating intentionally poisoned watermelons, the US military occupation admitted on Wednesday.
American mouthpiece Lieutenant Colonel Andre Hance did not say what the watermelons had been poisoned with, how many soldiers had been poisoned or when it happened, but said the soldiers have since been released from hospital.

“There was a gentleman recently delivering free watermelons to some traffic control points along the road, when soldiers at first became ill after eating them and called ahead to detain the driver,” Hance said according to a report published by the American Associated Press (AP).

The soldiers had been manning checkpoints between ash-Shuruqat, 260km northwest of Baghdad, to Hammam al-‘Alil, 80km further north toward Mosul. “We don't know yet what the watermelons were injected with, but investigations are ongoing now to try and determine what poison was used,” Hance said.

It was not immediately clear if the detained man was aware the watermelons had been poisoned, was acting alone or part of a cell. The puppet police forces have been routinely targeted by the Iraqi Resistance since they are collaborating with the occupation.

Agence France Presse (AFP) quoted an Iraqi puppet lieutenant colonel as saying that a joint force of US and Iraqi puppet forces raided the village of al-Haykal al-Kabir, 11km northeast of ash-Shuruqat and arrested seven “wanted persons” there in an operation that lasted three hours.

Irbil Province.

In formed Kurdish sources reported that armed men attacked the motorcade of Kurdish chauvinist collaborator Mas‘ud al-Barzani, head of the so-called Kurdistan Democratic Party, as it pulled away from his office in Irbil at noon on Tuesday. The sources reported that al-Barzani was wounded in his feet and taken to a hospital for treatment.

The Kurdish sources told al-Quds al-‘Arabi daily newspaper that arguments arose in some parts of Irbil, the “capital” of the Kurdish separatist area as a result of increasingly tense relations between al-Barzani’s KDP and the followers of Jalal at-Talibani, the other Kurdish collaborationist chauvinist leader in recent weeks. The conflict has centered on who is to hold the post of “leader” of the Kurdistan separatist region. At-Talibani was recently named puppet president of Iraq by the US occupation authority and its puppet “government.” As a result of the on-going dispute, the Kurdistani “parliament” has been unable to convene any sessions for three months ﾐ since the sham “election” farce staged by the Americans on 30 January 2005.

Kurdish sources blamed at-Talibani’s forces for Tuesday’s attack on al-Barzani’s motorcade, al-Quds al-‘Arabi reported in its issue for Wednesday, 1 June 2005.

Three British soldiers said killed in early afternoon bombing.

In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a British patrol in the Abu al-Khasib area south of al-Basrah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that the blast killed three British soldiers and wounded one more, according to local puppet policeman ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Khayun.

At the time of reporting, British occupation troops had surrounded the area together with Iraqi puppet troops, preventing local residents and journalists from approaching.
