Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Qa’im.
Puppet governor of al-Anbar Province liquidated.
In a bulletin posted at 2:10pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Qa’im on the border with Syria reported that Raja Nawaf al-Mahlawi, the puppet “governor” of al-Anbar Province had been killed by the Iraqi Resistance.
The initial report stated that US occupation forces found the body of the “governor” lying in the middle of an exterior road in al-Qa’im, but no further details on how al-Mahlawi was killed were initially available.
Al-Mahlawi, along with a number of puppet police officers, aides, and bodyguards, was abducted from the al-Qa’im ミ ar-Ramadi highway after an Iraqi Resistance ambush on their convoy earlier in May, just one week after al-Mahlawi took office as puppet governor. The Resistance at the time demanded that the offensive on al-Qa’im by US forces ミ which was then underway ミ be stopped. That offensive was in fact called off and al-Mahlawi was then released.
