Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance mounts large-scale attack on US convoy near al-Khalidiyah, early Sunday.

A large force of Iraqi Resistance forces armed with rockets mounted a sweeping attack on a giant US truck convoy loaded with prefabricated housing that was on its way to a US base in al-Khalidiyah, east of al-Fallujah, Sunday morning.

The Resistance attack, that took place in the al-Jazirah area near al-Khalidiyah, completely destroyed eight US trucks driven by Marines, together with their cargoes.

In a report posted at 9:20am Sunday morning, Mecca time, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack totally destroyed eight trucks and two Humvees, killing 15 US soldiers. One soldier from one of the trucks fled. Local residents at the time of reporting were looking for the American in farm fields in the area. He was spotted, with a wound in his hand, running away towards a date palm grove.

At the time of reporting US forces were encircling the scene of the attack and were working to haul away the wreckage of their trucks and the pre-fab housing to al-Habbaniyah base. A member of the Iraqi puppet army, who refused to be identified, told the correspondent that more than 13 US troops were killed in addition to one soldier for whom US helicopters were still searching.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance fighters assault US tank, killing crew with hand grenades.

Two Iraqi Resistance fighters mounted a qualitative attack on Sunday morning when they infiltrated into a position of the US occupation troops where an American tank was parked. The two Resistance fighters assaulted the tank and threw hand grenades inside it. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the explosions of the grenades killed the troops inside the tank and destroyed the vehicle itself after the tank ammunition also went off. The two Resistance fighters were martyred after they withdrew when Iraqi puppet soldiers opened fire on them. A member of the Iraqi puppet forces told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent, though, that the attack had left five American troops dead.

Resistance bombards US base west of ar-Ramadi Sunday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired eight mortar rounds into the US base west of ar-Ramadi at 4pm local time. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Bu Fahd area near the base said that after the Resistance shells blasted the base, they could hear secondary explosions shake the US-occupied facility as American munitions began exploding. Plumes of smoke rose into the sky over the base after the attack.

Rawah.

Resistance shoots down US Apache Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:38am Sunday morning, Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had shot down a US Apache helicopter over the city of Rawah. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighters scored a direct hit on the helicopter with a rocket, blowing up the aircraft in the sky. The wreckage of the helicopter landed atop the Agricultural Guidance building in the city.

The crash of the wreckage on the building killed one Iraqi employee of the Agricultural department. Sources in the city reported that the two-man crew of the helicopter were killed.

A large group of US troops shortly afterwards closed off the area to search for the crew who were killed and landed near the area where their helicopter crashed, apparently.

Baghdad.

Resistance executes puppet official in Baghdad attack Sunday morning.

Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire on the car carrying ‘Ali Musa Salman, a general director in the puppet so-called “ministry of commerce” in the al-Iskan area of Baghdad Sunday morning. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a Reuters dispatch quoted a source in the puppet police who asked to remain anonymous said that the Resistance attack killed the puppet official and his driver.

Resistance car bomber blasts US column in at-Taji Saturday night.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives laden car into a column of US military vehicles near the northern archaeological gateway to Baghdad in at-Taji, north of the capital, at 9pm Saturday night local time. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the martyrdom fighter raced his black Cherokee Into the US column. The Americans opened fire intensively at the onrushing car but it kept coming, though it slowed some and swerved some to the right and left before blasting into the first Humvee in the column.

Witnesses said that the blast was extremely powerful, killing 11 US troops belonging to the 2nd Marine Division. The witnesses said that the US death toll could have been much higher, but many of the Marines ran out of the way before the car struck the column.

After the attack, US troops surrounded the area and carried out raids and searches but did not arrest any one.

Resistance sharpshooter kills three US troops in Abu Ghurayb Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before, an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter shot and killed three US occupation troops in Abu Ghurayb, 30km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Abu Ghurayb reported that the three Americans were standing near the ‘Abd as-Samad farm in the as-Samilat area north of Abu Ghurayb when the sharp shooter opened fire from an elevated place, killing all three instantly.

The correspondent reported that puppet police lieutenant Muhammad Jabir, who was near the scene of the attack at the time, confirmed the death of the three American soldiers.

US troops rushed to seal off the area where the attack took place and then began searching for the sharpshooter.

Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter kills Kuwaiti-American translator in ad-Durah Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 7:57pm Sunday night Mecca time, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter had shot and killed a Kuwaiti with American citizenship working for the US occupation troops as a translator in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the local puppet police, who refused to be identified, as saying that the Kuwaiti-American collaborator died when the Resistance sharpshooter opened fire on a group of US troops in the middle of ad-Durah, striking the man in the head and killing him instantly.

US forces encircled the entire area and began searching residential and other tall buildings in the neighborhood of the attack.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Tikrit.

Resistance bomb blasts US armored column south of Tikrit Sunday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the highway in the ad-Dujayl area south of Tikrit, (which is north of Baghdad) at about 5pm local time Sunday afternoon. Residents of ad-Dujayl told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb exploded next to a passing column fof five US armored vehicles, disabling one of the vehicles and killing two US soldiers and wounding four more.

Babil Province.

Al-Hillah.

Resistance bomb kills four Polish invader troops in al-Hillah Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 7:49pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb that was planted in the middle of the al-‘Amur road north of al-Hillah blew up under a Polish armored vehicle, setting ablaze and completely destroying the vehicle after the ammunition inside it exploded.

The correspondent reported that voices and cries of the Polish soldiers were heard by all the local people who gathered on the scene after the attack. They said that the voices fell silent after the other Polish soldiers on the scene failed to extract them from the burning vehicle. The witnesses explained that the ammunition in the vehicle was exploding every minute, making it impossible for the Polish soldiers on the outside to even approach, let alone rescue, the four men trapped inside.

The Poles called in a Polish helicopter in an attempt to extinguish the fire but the helicopter came too late, and the Polish soldiers inside the vehicle had already burned to death by the time it arrived.

At the time of reporting, Polish occupation troops with the help of the American forces in the city had completely encircled the scene of the attack.

Samarra’.

Seven puppet police die in Resistance bomb attack.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a puppet police “shock force” patrol in Samarra’, north of Baghdad. Eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed a Nissan vehicle and killed seven puppet policemen.

The puppet so-called “Iraqi interior ministry” acknowledged that the attack took place but made n mention of casualties. For its part the al-Qa‘qa‘ Salafi Resistance group announced its responsibility for the attack in a statement distributed around a number of Samarra’ mosques.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance bombards US base Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 7:25pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the US base in Ba‘qubah with nine rockets believed to be of the Grad type. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that the barrage was concentrated on the western parts of the US base.

The correspondent wrote that fires were still burning inside the US-occupied facility at the time he filed his report and that two US helicopters were flying in over the base.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Resistance bomb targets US patrol in Mosul Sunday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a passing US patrol in the al-Ghabat area of the al-Muhandisin neighborhood in west Mosul at about 10am Sunday morning local time. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported First Lieutenant Kamran Naji of the Iraqi puppet army as saying that the blast destroyed one Humvee and killed five US troops.

The puppet lieutenant’s statement contradicted a claim made by the American occupation forces who declared that one US soldier was killed in the attack and two more wounded.

The Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah Prophet’s Practice issued a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Mafkarat al-Islam, in which it took responsibility for the attack.

Al-Muthanna Province.

As-Samawah.

Resistance forces bombard Japanese occupation base in as-Samawah Sunday evening.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the Japanese occupation army base in as-Samawah with four rockets ﾐ believed to be of the Katyusha type ﾐ at 6pm Sunday evening local time Sunday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that the rockets blasted into the central part of the Japanese aggressor base, producing clouds of smoke that enveloped whole sections of the facility. Sirens wailed everywhere inside the Japanese-occupied camp.
