Resistance bomb targets US foot patrol Friday morning, killing five.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Jazirah area north of ar-Ramadi at 10am local time Friday morning. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that an American foot patrol was proceding through the al-Jazirah area when the bomb, that had been planted by the side of a dirt road, exploded, killing five US troops.

After the explosion, American forces launched a campaign of raids and searches of houses near the scene of the attack, arresting four local civilians.

Al-Hasibah.

Resistance drives US Marines out of al-Hasibah in battles on Thursday.

Iraqi Resistance forces waged battles lasting three hours with US occupation troops that resulted in the US Marines being forced to withdraw, after which the Resistance declared Hasibah a liberated city that had fallen militarily from the hands of the US occupation. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that as of Friday morning, the Iraqi Resistance was in control of all parts of the city and was taking charge of all aspects of the city’s life.

An officer in the Iraqi puppet forces, who asked not to be identified, said that the US troops withdrew from the city after taking heavy losses.

Baghdad.

Resistance car bomb blasts US troops in northern Baghdad Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column in the Saba‘ al-Bur area of northern Baghdad at 4pm local time Friday afternoon. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that an explosives-packed Landcruiser was parked by the side of the main road in the Saba‘ al-Bur area and that it blew up when a column of several American vehicles was passing by. The blast destroyed one military vehicle, killing four US troops and wounding two more.

Resistance bomb kills US soldier in al-‘Amiriyah area Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-‘Amiriyah, in western Baghdad at 5pm local time Friday afternoon. The correspondent for Mafakarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the bomb was planted by the side of the highway leading to Saddam International Airport and that it blew up as a column of four US Humvees was passing by. One Humvee was set ablaze and one US soldier was killed and four more wounded in the attack.

Resistance bomb targets US column in Abu Ghurayb early Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a US military column in the al-Haswah area of Abu Ghurayb at 8am Friday morning local time. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed one US Humvee and killed four American troops. The bomb was planted along the main road linking Abu Ghurayb with al-Fallujah. After the blast, US forces closed the road and evacuated their casualties and the wreckage.

Sunni Shaykh suffers heart attack under torture by puppet police in prison.

The Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ Scholars announced on Friday that Shaykh ‘Abd al-Karim ‘Abd ar-Razzaq, the Imam and preacher in the ‘Umar al-Mukhtar Mosque in Baghdad and a member of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’, suffered a heart attack while under torture at the hands the Iraqi puppet “shock troop” police in a detention center in the al-Baladiyat section of Baghdad.

Former prisoners who were with Shaykh ‘Abd ar-Razzaq, but were released on Friday reported that the Shaykh was in critical condition and might die.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shaykh ‘Abd al-Karim ‘Abd ar-Razzaq had suffered a heart attack when arrested by US occupation forces one year ago. A statement issued by the Culture and Information Bureau of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’, a copy of which Mafkarat al-Islam obtained, said that the puppet “government” and it security and police agencies would be held responsible if any harm comes to the Shaykh.

Iraqi Resistance bomb targets US patrol in al-Latifiyah late Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded next to a joint US -Iraqi puppet force patrol in the city of al-Latifiyah, 25km south of Baghdad at 6:30pm local time Friday evening. A member of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed one American armored vehicle and set an Iraqi puppet force pickup ablaze. One US soldier was killed and two more wounded in the blast and five Iraqi puppet troops were also injured, the source said.

Al-Hillah.

Resistance attack leaves seven Badr Brigade gunment dead Friday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces armed with light weapons and hand grenades attacked a column of four-wheel drive cars belonging to the Shi‘i chauvinist Badr Brigades in the area of al-Mashru‘, north of al-Hillah Friday morning. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the attack left two of the Brigade’s vehicles ablaze and killed seven Badr Brigade gunmen.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Balad

Resistance forces ambush US supply convoy in Balad Friday morning.

Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades, attacked a column of US military supply trucks loaded with provisions and equipment for the US military in the city of Balad, north of Baghdad, at 10am Friday morning. Residents of the area who witnessed the attack told Mafkarat al-Islam that the attack left two of the supply trucks ablaze and three American soldiers dead.

Bayji.

Resistance bombards US base early Friday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 120mm mortar rounds into the main US base in the as-Siniyah area west of Bayji at 6am Friday morning local time. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of as-Siniyah as saying that they heard six violent explosions shake the US-occupied facility and saw plumes of smoke rising over it.
