Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Khalidiyah.
Resistance ambushes US column early Wednesday, killing nine Americans.
Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US military column in the city of al-Khalidiyah, 25km east of ar-Ramadi, at 7am local time Wednesday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Khalidiyah reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighers, hidden behind the steel bridge that leads to the al-Jazirah area, attacked the convoy with shoulder-fired pipe rockets, destroying three Humvees and killing nine US troops and wounding five more. A report posted by QudsPress at 15:06GMT also said that three American vehicles were destroyed but provided no casualty information, saying only that the attack “wounded a number of” US troops.
QudsPress quoted a source in the puppet police, who asked to remain anonymous, as saying that some 40 Resistance fighters took part in the battle against the Americans. The source said that American forces called in helicopters to bombard the Resistance fighters from the air.
Makfarat al-Islam’s correspondent in the area quoted a Resistance fighter as saying that the Americans responded to the Resistance attack, killing four of the Resistance attackers. QudsPress made no mention of Resistance casualties.
QudsPress reported that after the Resistance fighters had withdrawn from the area, US troops opened fire indiscriminately at nearby houses, blaming the local people for providing protection for the Resistance fighters who attacked them. The Americans then closed off the vicinity and put it under curfew for about two hours until they pulled out of the area.
The Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah Prophet’s Practice announced its responsibility for the attack in a communiqu, a copy of which was received by Mafkarat al-Islam. The communiqu said: “One squadron of the Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah attacked an American convoy with rockets and medium machine guns. The attack lasted about a quarter of an hour. It resulted in the destruction of three armored vehicles and the killing or wounding of more than 15 American soldiers in the course of the attack.”
Bodies of seven collaborators found executed.
The Iraqi puppet police in Baghdad issued a statement on Wednesday announcing that seven bodies had been discovered in al-Anbar Province. According to a dispatch by the Kuwaiti News Agency posted at 1:27pm Kuwait time Wednesday, the puppet police said that the bodies were believed to belong to Iraqi collaborators who worked on the US military base in al-Khalidiyah.
A dispatch posted by Mafkarat al-Islam at 2:30pm Wednesday said that the seven were employees of a “security company,” the official name for firms that supply mercenaries to aid the American occupation troops.
Captain Ahmad ‘Ali of the al-Khalidiyah puppet police said that a puppet police patrol found the seven bodies in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah on Wednesday. The men had been shot to death. Documents found on the men indicated that they worked for a company engaged in guarding installations. Reuters reported that the documents also indicated that the men were Turkmen from the city of Kirkuk.
Captain ‘Ali said that the seven had been guarding a truck convoy bringing provisions to the Americans that came under Resistance attack in al-Khalidiyah on Tuesday. The collaborator guards were led away from the scene of the attack and executed, Captain ‘Ali said.
A physician in ar-Ramadi Hospital said that the bodies “were brought in today, Wednesday, to ar-Ramadi Hospital. They had bullet wounds in various parts of their bodies.”
Mafkarat al-Islam noted that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a supply truck convoy loaded with provisions near al-Fallujah, 50km west of Baghdad. The Resistance fighters opened fire with rocket-propelled grenades setting several of the trucks ablaze.
Resistances attacks US truck convoy Tuesday, setting nine vehicles ablaze.
Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a convoy in the al-Bu Shihab area in the vicinity of al-Jazirah in al-Khalidiyah on Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported on Wednesday. Nine trucks were destroyed in the attack, responsibility for which was taken by the Islamic Army Resistance organization in a statement obtained Wednesday. Another truck convoy had come under a similar attack in the same area on Monday, leaving eight of the trucks ablaze. The group responsible for that attack remains unknown.
Al-Fallujah.
Puppet guards killed in al-Fallujah bathhouse Wednesday evening.
In a bulletin posted at 7:35pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that six members of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” entered the public bath in the old part of the city to wash. After 15 minutes their butchered bodies were found in the bathhouse, which at that time was completely empty; even the owners were gone.
At the time of writing US and puppet forces had encircled the entire area and were searching for clues that might lead them to the attackers. The puppet police and puppet guards were looking for the bathhouse owner who had left the city according to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent.
Miscellaneous actions in al-Fallujah Wednesday.
Several Iraqi Resistance 82mm mortar rounds blasted into a US command post at the eastern entrance to al-Fallujah, Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent in the city reported Wednesday.
Clashes raged for half an hour at the US military post inside the puppet governorate office building in al-Fallujah. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported witnesses as saying that the gunfire was intense, but no information on casualties was available.
Resistance forces opened fire on a puppet “national guard” patrol on ath-Tharthar Street near the as-Sajar Bridge in al-Fallujah, killing three Iraqi puppet guards.
Puppet so-called Iraqi national guards discovered that the body of one of their puppet guardsmen (that the Resistance tried to induce the puppet troops to take back to their checkpoint), had been booby trapped, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The body was supposed to explode after the puppet guards had brought it into their checkpoint at the western entrance to the city near the as-Sakai neighborhood.
A US foot patrol in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of al-Fallujah opened fire on a family in their Brazilian-made car at 8:30pm Wednesday night but caused no injuries, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the bomb destroyed one Humvee and killed three US troops and wounded two more.
After the attack, US forces surrounded the at-Ta’mim area to the west of ar-Ramadi where the blast occurred and prevented journalist ミ including the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam ミ from approaching.

Resistance fighters liquidate Brigadier General in puppet “interior ministry.”
Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked and killed a high-ranking officer in the puppet so-called “Iraqi ministry of the interior” south of Baghdad on Wednesday morning, the Kuwaiti news agency reported in a dispatch posted at 11:46am Kuwait time.
A source in the puppet police told the Kuwaiti news agency that “unknown armed men” uleashed a hail of machinegun bullets on Brigadier General Ibrahim Khammas in the az-Za‘faraniyah area south of Baghdad. The source, who asked not to be identified, confirmed that the general was killed immediately and that his wife, who was with him in the car, was seriously wounded. The Resistance fighters left the area after the attack.
Hospital director assassinated Tuesday morning, in another suspicious attack on Iraqi scientists and intellectuals.
The Director of Baghdad’s an-Nu‘man Hospital, Dr ‘Abdallah Yunus was assassinated by unknown gunmen while in his car on his way to work at the hospital, which is located in al-A‘zamiyah. In a dispatch posted at 1:27pm Kuwait time, the Kuwaiti news agency reported that the Iraqi puppet police said witnesses told them that unknown gunmen waylaid Dr. Yunus’s car on the highway not far from the hospital Tuesday morning, spraying it with bullets that struck the doctor in the head, killing him.
Doctors in the an-Nu‘man Hospital said that this was the first such attack on a doctor working at their facility, and they denounced attacks on health workers, regardless of the reason for them.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Hassuni, the Director of the Preventive Medicine Program, noted that since the US occupation of Iraq, 130 Iraqi physicians had been subjected to kidnapping, robbery, and assassination. Fifteen doctors have been killed in the last two years, he noted.
Other sources in Baghdad have reported that over 100 Iraqi scientists and intellectuals had been assassinated since the American invasion in spring 2003 and it is believed that the Zionist Mossad is behind a campaign against the Iraqi intellectual cadre.
In a precedent viewed as alarming by local residents, Iraqi eye witnesses have confirmed that groups of unknown Christian missionaries appeared on Baghdad streets early Wednesday under US military guard in Humvees. Driving through parts of Baghdad and the south ミ particularly Shi‘i areas ミ the missionaries tossed out large numbers of New Testaments.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the poor Shi‘i neighborhood of ash-Shu‘lah, located in the northwest of Baghdad, that local residents awoke to find large numbers of the books scattered around the streets of their district.
The correspondent reported that the opening page of the books carried a combination of missionary calls to “rise up” to receive “eternal happiness on earth and in heaven,” and also a decidedly political message: “Join us in bringing peace and tranquility to all parts of Iraq. The Gospel has a great magic for the souls of its people. Contact us to know more about the life of Jesus Christ.”
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the books list “Matba‘at al-Qiddis.” Saintly Publishing as the publisher of the New Testaments, but did not indicate the country in which they were printed.
Faced with this US-backed missionary offensive, Sunni religious leaders and the Offices of Shi‘i religious leader Muqtada as-Sadr joined by many local people gathered up the books and burned them in a campaign completed at about 10am Baghdad time Wednesday morning.
One of the residents of ash-Shu‘lah who had the honor of collecting the books and burning them was Zafir al-Hayadi, a Shi‘i, who said that although this was the first time this US-backed distribution of Bibles had occurred in Baghdad, it was not a first for the predominantly Shi‘i areas of southern Iraq.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that more than 100,000 copies of the New Testament came into Iraq via the northern city of Irbil where Kurdish chauvinist collaborator parties constitute the local puppet authorities. The books are sold at very low prices ミ 1,000 Iraqi dinars a copy, the equivalent of US 50 cents, according to the current dollar rate.
Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ for first time names Badr Brigades as party responsible for wave of sectarian attacks on Sunni population.
On Wednesday Harith Sulayman ad-Darri, the head of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ Scholars the highest Sunni religious authority in Iraq, officially accused the Badr Brigades of being behind the recent wave of abduction, arrest, torture, and murder of Sunni religious and public figures and citizens that has further exacerbated the situation in Iraq.
Ad-Darri said that the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ have “incontrovertible evidence” of that the Badr Brigades have been behind the murders and persecution, according to a report by Mafkarat al-Islam.

Afterwards, US forces encircled the whole area and imposed a curfew, sealing the streets. The then launched a ferocious wave of arrests of local people in which 11 Sunni residents were hauled out of their homes. The homes of Shi‘ah residents were not subjected to search by the American invaders, who are intent on stirring up sectarian divisions among Iraqis in a desperate bid to “divide and rule” the country. In keeping with that aim, American troops have recently taken to using Shi‘i residents as employees and guides to lead them to the homes of Sunnis in that area.
Although more than 20 Shi‘i collaborators in the district have been killed in the last few days, the large sums of money offered by the Americans for collaboration are attracting an increasing number of volunteers, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The correspondent reported that the salaries that the American troops are handing out have reached as much as US$10,000 per month ミ in a country where annual incomes sometimes are no more than US$200.
