ホロコースト「生き残り」組織がレウミ銀行の「預金」返済提案を拒否
ナチスドイツの「集中宿舎」を「絶滅収容所」だと称するシオニストが、ホロコースト「生き残り」がいると称して、その組織を運営するのは、実におかしなことなのであるが、その怪しげな組織が、ホロコースト「死者」の預金返済を求めて、ヨーロッパの大銀行を脅迫し続けている。
この銀行の提案拒否を報じているのは、極右「偽イスラエル」の有力紙、ハアレツである。

Holocaust survivors reject Leumi offer

Organizations representing Holocaust survivors have rejected Bank Leumi's offer to pay NIS 35 million immediately, as an advance on funds which belonged to Jews who perished during WWII, a reversal of the bank's former policy.
The bank's decision, which was published yesterday in Haaretz, represented "a media spin on the part of the bank, which is doing whatever it can so it doesn't have to return all the funds," said the the Center of Organizations of Holocaust Survivors in Israel, an umbrella group incorporating 28 organizations.

"The report of the bank's `readiness' to return NIS 35 million is a dishonest attempt to make do with returning the minimum sum determined by the Knesset Inquiry Committee, and so avoid returning all the property," the group said in its statement.
The umbrella organization said it would continue its public struggle against the bank and said it plans to take additional steps against the bank administration shortly.
The report published by the inquiry committee in January found that Bank Leumi is obligated to pay between NIS 35 million and NIS 307 million to the heirs of Jews who died in the Holocaust after depositing money in the bank.
The bank disputed the committee's conclusions and said distributing the NIS 35 million would not constitute an admission of liability on the part of the bank.
MK Colette Avital (Labor), who heads the inquiry committee, said yesterday that the bank was recycling old proposals and that no group is authorized to accept the money on behalf of the heirs. She said a law that would determine what should be done on the issue is being drafted and would probably be ready for a vote within a few months.
The director of Israel's Holocaust survivors' fund, Ze'ev Faktor, said the amount on offer was "not serious," and was far lower than the amount that had been originally deposited. He said the banks in Switzerland had earlier agreed to pay $180 million immediately as humanitarian aid for Holocaust survivors.
Bank Leumi said it was willing to transfer the NIS 35 million to the Knesset for such uses as aid for needy Holocaust survivors. The survivors' fund has recently run into financial difficulties in the wake of a significant increase in the number of survivors seeking its services.
Faktor said the money Bank Leumi is offering would help the fund operate for three and a half months.
