Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Tank truck loaded with explosives blows up by passing US column in ar-Ramadi Wednesday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 6:45pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at least 11 US troops were killed and eight more wounded when a tank loaded with explosives blew up a short while ago by a US column in ar-Ramadi.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported that first reports indicate that one US Humvee was destroyed and another disabled, killing 11 American soldiers and wounding eight more.

An officer in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” told the correspondent that a fuel tank truck was stopped by the side of the road linking ar-Ramadi with areas to the west around the al-Warrar barrage. It exploded when a US column passed by, setting fire to two US vehicles, one of them a regular Humvee, the other an armored vehicle. Helicopters were seen hovering in the area afterwards, carrying the dead and wounded away. US forces set up a security perimeter around the attack zone preventing the correspondent from getting an further details on the extent of US casualties.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance kills 19 puppet “national guards” in al-Hadithah.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a group of puppet so-called “Iraqi national guards” who were on their way to the city of al-Haqlaniyah to bolster US and Iraqi puppet forces in a battle underway there against Iraqi Resistance forces.

Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Hadithah, 250km west of Baghdad, that Resistance fighters attacked the Zil troop transport in which the Iraqi puppet troops were riding. The Resistance abducted the puppet guards, and the bodies of 19 of them were discovered dumped in the Haditha Stadium. The Resistance, meanwhile set their troop transport vehicle ablaze.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance bombards US “as-Saqr” base Wednesday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired nine heavy mortar shells into the US base in the city of al-Habbaniyah (about 30km west of al-Fallujah) at 9am local time Wednesday morning. A lieutenant in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” told Mafkarat al-Islam that nine heavy mortar rounds blasted into the US “as-Sawr” (“the Falcon”) base, which was the Tammuz Iraqi military base before the American invasion.

The source reported that the bombardment killed one American soldier and seriously wounded eight more. He said that only one of the shells landed in a place within the base where US troops were located. That one shell struck the American military propaganda radio which is beamed at the local population in al-Anbar province.

Kubaysah.

Resistance car bomber blasts US column in Kubaysah, killing nine American troops.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden Mazda car into a US column in the town of Kubaysah, west of Baghdad at 11:30am Wednesday morning. A spokesman for a newly formed puppet “anti-terrorism” force told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed two US Humvees, killing nine US troops and wounding three more. The wounded Americans were taken by helicopter to the US base at Kilometer 160 in al-Anbar Province.

The US military occupation did not admit that the attack occurred, but the operation was confirmed by the Iraqi puppet forces who spoke with Mafkarat al-Islam and a number of correspondents for other news agencies.

Baghdad.

Resistance martyrdom car bomber kills seven US troops in western Baghdad.

A massive explosion shook the al-‘Amiriyah-Abu Ghurayb crossing in the west of Baghdad at about 12 noon Wednesday when an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom bomber drove an explosives-laden car into a US patrol that was passing through the area.

The blast killed seven American soldiers and destroyed one Humvee, according to a source in the Iraqi puppet police who declined to give his name when he spoke to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent.

Three US troops killed in Abu Ghurayb bomb explosion Wednesday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column driving down the highway next to the az-Zaydan area in Abu Ghurayb at 8:30am Wednesday morning. The blast destroyed one US armored vehicle, killing three American soldiers and wounding one more.

Witnesses in the area told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb was planted by the side of the highway near az-Zaydan and that it blew up as the armored column was passing. Afterwards US forces encircled the area and closed the highway for about one and a half hours. They launched an intensive search along both sides of the highway looking for more bombs.

Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier in ad-Durah.

An Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter perched atop a four mill building belonging to the puppet so-called “ministry of trade” on the highway in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah shot and killed an American soldier on Wednesday. A lieutenant in the puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the American soldier was shot as he stood with a group of other American troops on the highway.

After the attack US troops encircled the area and went to the top of the building from which the shot was fired but found nothing.

Iyyad ‘Allawi narrowly escapes assassination as Resistance martyrdom bomber blasts Iraqi blasts puppet “prime minister’s” motorcade Wednesday.

The official spokesman of the puppet so-called “Iraqi government” Tha’ir an-Naqib announced Wednesday night that Iyyad ‘Allawi, the outgoing puppet so-called “prime minister” survived an assassination attempt on Wednesday when a car bomb exploded near his home adjacent to the Republican Palace area in downtown Baghdad, known to the invaders as the “green zone.”

In a statement to al-‘Arabiyah satellite TV an-Naqib said that the blast targeted ‘Allawi’s motorcade as he was returning from a political meeting to his home, according to a report carried by Qana, the Qatari News Agency.

Preliminary reports had indicated that an attacker had driven a car bomb into a puppet police check point at the entrance to the headquarters of the collaborationist so-called ‘national accord party, which is run by ‘Allawi, and is located on az-Zaytun street next to the “green zone.”

A spokesman for the puppet so-called “Iraqi interior ministry reported that the blast killed two Iraqi puppet policemen. Puppet police sources reported that that attack killed only one but left four wounded.

A Reuters report had said that at least one person was killed and four more wounded when a martyrdom fighter blew himself up in a car bomb next to the headquarters of the collaborationist so-called “national accord” party headed by the outgoing Iraqi puppet “prime minister” Iyyad ‘Allawi on Wednesday, Reuters reported a spokesman for the puppet police as announcing.

Forty-eight Sunni imams murdered during US occupation, 100 now in prison.

Shaykh and Dr. Ahmad ‘Abd al-Ghafur as-Samarra’i, the General Director of the Islamic Affairs Department of the Sunni Waqf pious endowment Committee in an exclusive interview with Mafkarat al-Islam in Baghdad said that more than 48 Sunni imams and preachers have been assassinated by the US occupation troops or by unknown persons since the American occupation of Iraq in 2003.

Shaykh as-Samarra’i added that more than 100 Sunni religious leaders have been arrested and are now in US occupation prisons because someone falsely informed on them or made up claims against them, or because of the fact that the Sunnis call for jihad for the sake of God and fighting against the American invaders.

Zionist military vehicles reported in American arsenal in occupied Iraq.

Iraqi military experts say that Zionist tanks built in occupied Palestine are now prowling the streets of Iraq, piloted by US invader troops. The sources told the Saudi newspaper al-Jazirah that Zionist armored vehicles called Ajzarit are being driven next to American tanks and cars and that Iraqi military men with experience in the country’s army before the American invasion were able to distinguish the type and make of the vehicles.

The Iraqi military experts said that the Zionist vehicles are distinguished by a unique tread adapted from the Soviet T54 tank. The sources said that they saw the Zionist vehicles in an Iraqi city during one of the recent battles and the Saudi newspaper interpreted their remarks as a reference to al-Fallujah.

Making use of puppet “presidency” Kurdish chauvinists try to force separatist demands on puppet “parliament.”

A source in the so-called “Iraqi national assembly” under US control told the Bahraini newspaper Akhbar al-Khalij that Kurdish chauvinist members of the body, led by the newly appointed “president” Jalal at-Talibani have demanded that a Kurdish symbol be grafted onto the Iraqi flag, if the flag is not to be totally replaced. The Kurdish collaborators insist that either the so-called “sun of Kurdistan” symbol must be added to the Iraqi flag or some other symbol that the Kurdish chauvinists propose. If the puppet parliament fails to accede to the Kurds’ demands, the Kurds for their part will refuse to fly the national flag over government buildings in the sections of the country that they control.

The source told Akhbar al-Khalij that in its official dealings, the Kurdish chauvinist parties headed by “president” at-Talibani and Mas‘ud Barzani, have unilaterally changed the name of the country from the Republic of Iraq to the “Federal Republic of Iraq” ﾐ a new name that is now used throughout official offices in the Kurdish dominated sections of the country.

Hamid Effendi, the puppet so-called “minister for Peshmergah affairs” (the Peshmergah being the Kurdish chauvinist militias) said that the agreement concluded between Kurdish chauvinist collaborators and Shi‘i chauvinist collaborators, on the basis of which the present puppet “government” was formed provides for the incorporation of Peshmergah gunmen into the puppet “Iraqi army” and stipulates that no fewer than 33 percent of the personnel of the puppet army must be Peshmergah men. The Kurdish representative claimed that the agreement also stipulates that the Peshmergah gunmen are to retain the name “Peshmergah” even after having been incorporated into the so-called “Iraqi army.”

Babil Province.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance roadside bomb kills six US troops in al-Yusufiyah midday Wednesday.

A high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of several US armored and regular Humvees in al-Yusufiyah, southwest of Baghdad, at 12:30pm midday Wednesday local time. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing six American soldiers.

A captain in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” confirmed that casualty toll, and told the correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that the high-explosive bomb had been planted by the side of the road.

The Islamic Army in Iraq Resistance organization issued a communiqu, a copy of which was obtained by Mafkarat al-Islam, in which it took responsibility for the operation that it too said left six US troops dead and one Humvee destroyed.

Salah ad-Din Province.

At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance shoots down unmanned US spy plane Wednesday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces shot down an unmanned American spy plane in the at-Tarimiyah area, north of Baghdad early Wednesday afternoon. The US forces regularly use such unmanned drones to spy on the movements of the Iraqi Resistance 24 hours a day.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in at-Tarimiyah reported that the Resistance opened fire on the craft and brought it down at 3pm Wednesday afternoon local time. US forces found the wreckage of the airplane in the area of the waterway east of at-Tarimiyah, after encircling the area. The American invaders arrested four local people but gave their relatives no reason why they had been singled out for capture.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in Mosul early Wednesday.

Iraqi Resistance forces began their attacks in northern Iraq Wednesday with a roadside bombing in the al-Muhandisin neighborhood in western Mosul. The bomb exploded by a passing patrol of three US Humvees, destroying one of them and killing three US troops and wounding another.

The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in Mosul reported a captain in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” as saying that the bomb went off at 7am local time, killing three US troops and seriously wounding a fourth.

After the blast, US soldiers surrounded the area and evacuated their dead and wounded by helicopter.

Resistance bombards US al-Ghazlani base Wednesday afternoon.

In the fourth such bombardment this week, Iraqi Resistance forces barraged the US al-Ghazlani base in occupied Mosul with mortar rounds and rockets at 2:30pm Wednesday afternoon, local time.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Mosul reported that the bombardment destroyed one American observation tower on the north side of the US base, killing and wounding a number of American troops, according to sources in the puppet police.

Major Sulayman al-Hamadani of the Mosul puppet police told the correspondent that more than eight missiles blasted into the base.

The Resistance fiercely bombarded al-Ghazlani base on Sunday with 25 rockets and mortar rounds, killing and wounding numerous US troops.

Maysan Province.

Al-‘Amarah.

Prominent Sunni Shaykh falls victim to sectarian murder as efforts by US allies to split Iraq on confessionalist lines intensify.

Unknown gunmen attacked and assassinated Shaykh Muhammad ‘Abd al-Latif al-‘Ani, the Deputy Director of the Sunni Waqf religious endowments in the southern Iraqi city of al-‘Amarah in another apparent act of sectarian violence being promoted under the cover of the American occupation.

The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in al-‘Amarah reported that unknown gunmen driving a late-model Crown car opened fire on Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Ani as he got out of his car to go into his home at 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon local time. Four bullets struck the Shaykh, martyring him instantly, the correspondent reported.

Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Ani, 46, was a prominent and respected member of the local Sunni community. He had two sons and four daughters. The assassination of Shaykh al-‘Ani is the first time that sectarian killing has targeted so prominent and established a figure in southern Iraq, Sunni community.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that accusing fingers were being pointed at two possible culprits. One is the death squads operating under the Badr Brigades, the armed wing of the Shi‘i chauvinist so-called “Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq” (SCIRI) whose men invaded Iraq together with US forces in the spring of 2003. The Badr Brigades are locally regarded as the long arm of the US occupation and Iranian intelligence in Iraq.

The other organization that local people think might be behind the assassination of Shaykh al-‘Ani is the Shi‘i chauvinist Da‘wah Party, which is run by the newly designated puppet “prime minister” Ibrahim al-Ja‘fari whose party was formerly responsible for the majority of sectarian murders of Sunnis in the southern part of Iraq.
