Al-Anbar Province.

Resistance blasts US lines around al-Qa’im.
In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Friday Mecca time Mafkarat al-Islam reported that for the second day in a row, Iraqi Resistance forces mounted mortar barrages on the positions of American troops surrounding the besieged, defiant city. Resistance fighters fired 53 heavy 120mm mortar rounds in concentrated barrages at 10am Friday morning local time into concentrations of American troops and groups of US vehicles. The Resistance apparently wishes to prevent the Americans from strengthening their positions for renewed fighting.
The bombardment set several fires blazing that charred a number of US vehicles and killed a number of US troops.
The Resistance renewed its threats to execute the four US prisoners it captured two days ago, one of them an officer with the rank of major, if US forces do not pull back from around the city by the time of the afternoon prayers.
The Mufti (Islamic jurisconsult) of the city announced that Friday congregational prayers today would be held on the edges of the city. He prohibited any armed men from going to mosques for the prayers.
Residents of the city who witnessed the attack from the roofs of their houses told Mafkarat al-Islam that US helicopters raced to the area to evacuate American dead and wounded and start work to put out the fires that were still burning at the time of reporting.
Ar-Ramadi.
Four US troops killed in Resistance bomb attack Friday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb carefully planted in the middle of a dirt road in the as-Sufiyah area northwest of ar-Ramadi exploded under a column of six US vehicles at dawn on Friday. An official source in the local police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb destroyed one Humvee and killed four US troops. The four Americans were blown about two meters away from their vehicle by the force of the blast, which also left a deep crater, three meters in diameter, in the road.
The correspondent reported that after the blast US forces surrounded the area and launched a campaign of house raids and searches, storming into several houses in the area.

Resistance land mine kills five US troops near Saudi border midday Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:05pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded under a US patrol near the complex of buildings in the strip of land near the Saudi frontier. The Americans were patrolling the border to try to keep Arabs from other regions from coming to Iraq to fight along side their Iraqi brothers against the invaders.
Wyewitnesses who live in the area told Mafkarat al-Islam that the land mine totally destroyed one Humvee and killed five American troops.
After the attack, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported, US forces evacuated their dead but left the hulk of the wrecked vehicle where it lay still engulfed in flame.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb destroys US armored vehicle Friday night igniting fierce battle.
A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the Zawbi‘ area about 7km south of al-Fallujah at about 11:25pm Mecca time Friday evening. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the powerful blast reduced a US armored vehicle to a flaming heap of wreckage, totally destroying it and killing all its crew.
The correspondent reported eye witnesses as saying that a fierce battle broke out immediately after the bomb went off, and it was still raging at the time he filed his report, posted at 11:55pm Friday night Mecca time. Resistance fighters were firing rocket-propelled grenades and medium machine guns. The sound shots and of a violent battle could still be heard, he reported.
Large US columns move from al-Fallujah to ar-Ramadi and from Baghdad to al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:50pm Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a US military column was seen at about 6pm the night before heading out of al-Fallujah on the agricultural road towards ar-Ramadi in the west.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the US column was made up of 200 vehicle including tanks and armored vehicles, troop transports and mine sweepers.
The witnesses said that another column on Friday was seen at about 10am local time heading towards al-Fallujah along the highway coming from Baghdad. It took four hours to make the trip.
The correspondent reported that that American column was made up of 400 various vehicles.
Resistance bombards US base east of al-Fallujah Thursday night.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired 14 rockets, believed to be of the Grad type, into the US base in the agricultural area east of al-Fallujah at 8pm Thursday evening.
A captain in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bombardment inflicted casualties in the American ranks and also material losses, but gave no further details.
US forces responded to the attack by firing artillery at what they believed to be the source of the rockets, but inflicted no losses either on the Iraqi Resistance or no civilians.
As-Saqlawiyah ミ al-Khalidiyah.
US raids, arrests in as-Saqlawiyah area.
US occupation forces on Thursday carried out a campaign of raids and searches in numerous areas including the al-Bu Shajal area of as-Saqlawiyah and al-Khalidiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:55pm Friday night, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the Americans had set up a headquarters in the interior of the Technical Institute in as-Saqlawiyah which was still there.
The correspondent reported that the American troops were using the housing units in the Institute in as-Saqlawiyah as their headquarters, sending out troops to carry out raids and searches in the areas nearby, such as the al-Bu Shajal, where they arrested a number of local citizens, including Sabbar as-Sirhan, the brother of Khamis as-Sirhan who is a member of the branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party and one of the men whom the Americans list as “wanted.”
In the course of their raids, that were concluded yesterday evening in al-Khalidiyah, the correspondent reported, the US forces arrested 15 youths who live in the area. Until the time of writing nothing was known about what became of them.
US admits losing two Marines in al-Anbar Province.
US forces on Friday admitted in two separate statements that they had lost two Marines killed in al-Anbar Province west of Baghdad in two separate Resistance attacks. The first American propaganda statement said one American was killed in a mortar attack launched on the Marine camp in Hit, 300km west of Baghdad. The second statement said that another Marine was killed Thursday when he was struck by small arms fire in ar-Ramadi, 100km west of Baghdad.

Resistance bomb kills four US troops in Abu Ghurayb Friday afternoon.
A high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb blew up by a US military column near the Khan ash-Shaykh Darri building in the Abu Ghurayb area west of Baghdad. At 3pm local time Friday afternoon. A source in the puppet so-called “anti-terrorism force” told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb was composed of the explosive contents of several high-explosive Austrian artillery shells. He said that the blast totally destroyed one US Humvee and slightly damaged a second. Four US troops were killed and three more wounded in the attack, the puppet source said.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that after the explosion, US troops opened fire around the area indiscriminately and with unprecedented hysteria. Their wild shooting left three local civilians wounded. Some of their bullets also slightly damaged the Abu Ghurayb Mosque.
Iraqi Resistance martyrdom bomber strikes US patrol in al-Mansur district Friday morning.
Iraqi puppet police in Iraq reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb blasted into a US convoy Friday morning injuring at least four. The puppet police sources and witnesses quoted by Reuters said that the car bomb exploded near a restaurant in the al-Mansur district of Baghdad and that several cars caught fire as a result of the attack.
Agence France Presse (AFP) quoted a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a Resistance martyrdom fighter drove a white Opel car into the US patrol near the ar-Rahman Mosque in the al-Mansur neighborhood at 9:20am Friday morning.
Russian embassy attacked.
A bomb exploded early Friday morning by the Russian embassy in the al-Mansur district of Baghdad, causing only minor damage to the building, Itar-Tass reported Friday.

Al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance martyrdom car bomber leaves at least nine US troops dead in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove a Chevrolet sedan into a US patrol made up of about 25 heavily armed American soldiers on foot on one of the main streets of the city of al-Yusufiyah, 40km south of Baghdad. The blast killed at least nine American troops and wounded 12 more in varying degrees of seriousness.
Witnesses said that the blast was extremely powerful and that it tore up the bodies of some of the troops and destroyed a residential house near the scene of the explosion, killing four members of the family there.
After the attack, US forces encircled the entire area and called in helicopters to evacuate their dead and wounded from the area. American troops continued to surround the area with more than 15 vehicles, the correspondent reported.

Puppet forces backed by Americans storm mosque during Friday prayers to arrest peacher.
Puppet so-called “Iraqi national guards” stormed a mosque and arrested a Friday preacher in the village of Ba ‘shiqah near Mosul in northern Iraq Friday.
The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in Mosul reported that members of the puppet “national guard,” covered by US occupation troops, stormed into the Malik ibn Anas Mosque after the preacher in his Friday sermon stressed that the jihad and resistance to the American occupation was a necessary duty for the Muslims until they leave Iraq. The preacher denounced those youths who sit around and do nothing in the struggle.
The correspondent reported that three US helicopters landed in the mosque courtyard where the worshipers were praying the Friday congregational prayers after the sermon. The “national guard” attackers stormed into the mosque and arrested the imam and preacher of the mosque, Shaykh Qasim Hamdallah, and a number of worshippers as well.
The puppet so-called “Iraqi government,” installed under the auspices of the US occupation, had asked US forces to arrest every imam and preacher who “incites” fighting against the US forces or the puppet “Iraqi government” forces. The puppet regime published its call on the Americans to arrest religious leaders who speak out against the occupation in a statement published at the end of the year 2004.

Explosion and fire rips through hotel housing foreign mercenaries and profiteers Friday night.
In a dispatch posted at 7:50pm Friday night Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before a violent explosion shook one of the hotels in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil where American and European mercenaries and profiteers stay. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that there was initially no information on the cause of the blast, but that a huge fire was blazing in the Aykal Hotel. Kurdish chauvinist collaborationist Peshmergah gunmen and American occupation troops rushed to the scene together with firemen.

An-Nasiriyah.
Seven hundred Iraqis demonstrate against local puppet administration in an-Nasiriyah.
The Federation of Iraqi Unemployed organized a demonstration in an-Nasiriyah on Friday in which 700 people took part to demand a chance to make a living. They protested plans of the local puppet administration to relocate place for itinerant vendors who currently sell their wares on the city sidewalks. The puppet administration’s plan provides for relocating the vendors to an unpopulated and remote area.
The protest rally lasted about four hours. Although puppet regime officials were informed of the demands of the protestors, not one of them could be bothered even to appear and address them or listen to their grievances.
According to Info Shop News, the demonstrators marched the streets and denounced the local puppet regime’s plans as absolutely inhuman.
In the end the protestors agreed to form a deputation of five of them to meet with puppet regime representatives and discuss their demands.
Afterwards the puppet police tried to break up the rally but the protestors insisted on staying until they could learn the results of the meeting with the puppet officials. Thereupon the puppet police opened fire with their automatic weapons to scare off the protestors.
