□レジスタンスがカイム市内を制圧 アメリカ軍は奪還を試みるも失敗する
・軽，中および重火器で武装した多数のレジスタンスがシリアとの国境に近いカイム市内に入った後，
市内にいた傀儡軍の部隊が撤退していき，レジスタンスがカイムを制圧する。
また，レジスタンスはカイム東部でアメリカ軍のコブラ・ヘリコプターを撃墜している。
死傷者などの情報は不明。コブラは空中で爆発したために，搭乗員は全員が死亡したと思われる。
イスラム・メモの特派員の午後4時30分発の情報によると，
アメリカ軍はカイムを奪還するために，空からの支援を受けて
攻勢に出るが，これに失敗している。
地元住民の目撃によると，アメリカ軍はレジスタンスが築いた
頑強な防御網を崩すことができなかったと報告している。
さらに，午後6時25分発の情報によると，アメリカ軍は再度，
カイム市内への侵入を試みていき，激しい戦いは1時間半に渡って都市の南部と東部で続いていく。
レジスタンスはアメリカ軍を撃退し，この結果アメリカ兵多数が死亡，または負傷していき，
4台のハンビーが破壊され，ヘリ１機が撃墜されている。また，複数の戦車，装甲車も破壊または
使用不能となっている。
目撃者によると，レジスタンスの防御網を突破できなかったアメリカ軍は
現在，カイム郊外から撤退している。
レジスタンスはカイム市内の全ての地区を制御している。

Mujahideen Seize Control Of Al-Qaﾕim; Repulse US Efforts To Retake City

The Mujahideen issued several communiqu市 on Thursday morning announcing that the city of al-Qaﾕim on the Iraqi-Syrian border, had fallen to the Mujahideen from the hands of the Americans and their Iraqi ﾒgovernmentﾓ collaborators after dozens of Mujahideen were deployed throughout all neighborhoods of the city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses in the city as saying that the Iraqi puppet army had withdrawn at dawn on Thursday after the Mujahideen appeared in great force in the city streets, armed with light, medium, and heavy weaponry.
City residents said that they heard three calls of ﾒAllahu Akbar!ﾕ (ﾒGod is greatest!ﾓ) from various mosques in the city at dawn prayer times, a call that they believe was a signal to fighters to prepare for the expected battle.
In a dispatch filed at 12:35pm Thursday afternoon Mecca time, the correspondent reported that at the time the city of al-Qaﾕim remained free of all occupation and collaborating forces and was completely under control of the Mujahideen.
US Cobra Downed
Meanwhile, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Mujahideen had shot down a US Cobra helicopter over the city when ground fire struck the American aircraft and caused it to burst into flames on all four sides, crashing in the area east of the city, witnesses said. The correspondent at that point had no information regarding the fate of the American crew, but it was believed that they were killed when the craft caught fire in the air.
US Makes Failed Attempts To Break Into the City
In a dispatch filed at 4:30pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, the same source reported that US mechanized forces with helicopter air support had advanced on al-Qaﾕim and tried to break into the city about fifteen minutes earlier, but had failed. Witnesses in the city said that the American forces were unable to overcome the stubborn defense put up by the Mujahideen.
Mujahideen Engage US Forces For An Hour And A Half, US Forced To Pull Back
In a further dispatch filed at 6:25pm Mecca time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces attempted to storm into al-Qaﾕim late in the afternoon. A fierce battle raged for about an hour and a half as American troops struck at the eastern and southern approaches of the city.
Mujahideen beat back the American attackers, however, destroying four Humvees and shooting down another US helicopter. Several tanks and armored vehicles were also disabled or destroyed and a number of US troops were reportedly killed or wounded.
Witnesses said that after failing to break Mujahideen defenses, the US forces pulled back from the outskirts of the city. At the time of the Mafkarat al-Islam filing, the Mujahideen remained in control of all parts of the city of al-Qaﾕim and in fortified positions on the cityﾕs outskirts.
