Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Qa’im.
Americans blast family of five to death in their home in al-Qa’im.
In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Tuesday morning Mecca time Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces bombarded the house of an Iraqi family in western al-Qa’im on the Syrian border Tuesday morning, killing five children, three women, and two men. The local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam, who went to the demolished house after the American attack reported that the US invaders bombarded the house after the Iraqi Resistance fired four Grad rockets from nearby.
Local people buried the family, which was wiped out in the American attack, amidst pledges to avenge this latest US atrocity before the sun goes down today, Tuesday.
For its part, the Iraqi Resistance published a statement to the local people explaining that the house was attacked by the Americans. They said that it was part of the approached used by the Jews who occupy Palestine to try to sow hatred of the Resistance in the hearts of the people by randomly attacking civilian targets after Resistance attacks on the occupation. They attack houses after Resistance attacks in the hope that the people will respond by saying, “if it weren’t for the Resistance, there would be no attacks on the houses,” forgetting that the occupation itself is the source of the problems.
In its statement the Resistance pledged to carry out armed attacks away from the city and to make the desert and places remote from houses the battlefield with the US occupation, so as to reduce the number of civilians killed by the murderous invaders. The statement, issued by the Squadrons of the Mujahideen, pledged that revenge on the Americans would be carried out before sunset Tuesday.
Resistance pounds US headquarters in al-Qa’im at midday Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before, Iraqi Resistance forces had unleashed a powerful rocket and mortar barrage on the US headquarters set up in the old Customs Department in al-Qa’im on the border with Syria.
Witnesses reported that dense clouds of smoke billowed from the American-occupied facility as explosions rocked the area. At the time of reporting, US artillery was massively and violently returning fire at what they believed to be the source of the Iraqi resistance barrage.
The correspondent wrote that the US invaders were aiming their fire at the banks of the Euphrates River where there are uninhabited date palm groves that could afford cover for Resistance fighters.
Resistance bomb in al-Qa’im kills three Americans as US forces begin to seal off the whole city and fighters mobilize for battle Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Tuesday afternoon Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a US military patrol in downtown al-Qa’im on the border with Syria. Witnesses reported that the blast on al-Qassabin Road destroyed a Humvee and killed three US troops.
At the time of writing American forces had begun to encircle the city on all sides in order to seal it off. The correspondent noted that the Iraqi Resistance had used mosque loudspeakers to proclaim a total mobilization of all members of Resistance fighting detachments in preparation for a confrontation with the invaders.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance blast in animal pen kills nine US troops Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:59am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had blown up a livestock pen in an agricultural area near al-Karmah, which is located 8km east of al-Fallujah, Tuesday morning, killing nine US troops.
The correspondent, who reached the scene of the attack about an hour after it occurred, reported that the Resistance had mined a livestock pen in one of the local farms with TNT and bombs since they were aware that US forces were coming to carry out a search of the area at dawn Tuesday. When they arrived, they were met with the explosion that killed nine of them and wounded three more.
A member of the Iraqi Resistance told the correspondent “the US forces began searching and raiding over the whole area, so we decided to mine the pen with bombs because we knew beforehand that they wouldn’t pass it by without searching it.”
He went on, “and in fact, thanks be to God, what we had wanted did indeed happen. After we took all the livestock out of the pen and booby trapped it with more than 100kg of high-explosives, the blast went off at 8am this morning. Nine US troops were killed and three more wounded when the pen, which was made of iron posts and roofed over with old steel sheets, blew up and taught them a new lesson in carrying out searches.”
The correspondent reported that after the Americans evacuated the bodies of their dead and wounded, they left the area without finishing the searches that they originally came to carry out.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Eighteen Americans killed, more than 20 wounded in Resistance bombardment of sleeping quarters on al-Habbaniyah base.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired ten 120mm mortar rounds into the main US base in al-Habbaniyah, 80km west of Baghdad at 2pm Tuesday afternoon local time. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the barrage killed 18 US troops and wounded more than 20.
A member of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” reported that one reason why the casualty toll in the bombardment was relatively high was that most of the Resistance rockets blasted into housing units in which the US troops sleep and relax.
Baghdad.
Double Resistance bombing leaves 12 US Marines dead in Baghdad’s al-‘Amil neighborhood.
In a dispatch posted at 10:55am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs had exploded in the al-‘Amil neighborhood of western Baghdad on Tuesday morning.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported an official source in the neighborhood puppet police as saying that the first bomb exploded by a US military column made up of several vehicles. That blast destroyed a Humvee and killed five American troops. The second bomb was planted by the side of the road and when a US Black Hawk helicopter landed to evacuate the dead from the first bombing, the second bomb went off killing seven of the American rescue team from the helicopter. Thus the total number of American Marines killed in the double bombing was 12.
The puppet police source added that the helicopter was also seriously damaged in the blast and has been unable to take off from the blast scene. The correspondent reported that at the time of writing, American troops had completely encircled the blast site and the helicopter and were preventing all journalists from approaching or taking pictures.
Guard from Saddam Hussein’s prison dies in hail of Resistance gunfire.
In a dispatch posted at 7:10pm Mecca time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had shot and killed Jasim Mannati, a guard at the prison holding Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in the al-Bayya‘ district in western Baghdad. Another person who was with Mannati was also killed in the attack.
A source in the puppet police who was on the scene after the attack told Mafkarat al-Islam that Jasim Mannati was the person who appeared on television screens holding Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in handcuffs and chains and often appeared behind the imprisoned Iraqi leader.
Witnesses said that five men armed with medium-weight machineguns unloaded a hail of bullets on Mannati for three full minutes, leaving him and his companion, who was wearing a puppet police uniform, dead.
Resistance bomb kills six US troops in al-Ghazaliyah late Tuesday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded west of Baghdad on Tuesday morning, destroying an American military vehicle and killing and wounding 10 US troops witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam. The witnesses said that the bomb exploded as a column of two American armored vehicles and four Humvees passed near a fuel station in the al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood west of Baghdad at 11:30am local time.
The blast destroyed one armored vehicle, killing six troops and wounding four more, one of them seriously. Workers at the nearby fuel station said that the US forces had encircled the whole area and closed the streets leading in their direction. American helicopters had landed to evacuate the dead and wounded, they added.
Babil Province.
Al-Latifiyah.
Seven Americans killed in martyrdom truck bombing in al-Latifiyah Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:05 am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US column of four armored vehicles in al-Latifiyah, south of Baghdad. The attack took place in what Americans have dubbed the “triangle of death area” due to the numerous Resistance attacks that take place there.
The blast destroyed one US Bradley armored vehicle and killed seven American troops and mortally wounded two more.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported witnesses and a traffic warden on the street as saying that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove a white pickup loaded with tomatoes (as camouflage) into the US column in downtown al-Latifiyah. The road on which the attack took place is frequently used by local farmers to bring vegetables to the nearby market, so the truck aroused no suspicions.
After the blast, US forces completely closed off the area and three helicopters were brought in to evacuate the bodies.
Al-Yusufiyah.
US soldier killed in al-Yusufiyah bombing.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad at 8:30am Tuesday morning, local time, disabling a Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding two more.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam said that local witnesses reported that the Resistance had planted a bomb by the side of one of the main roads south of the Iraqi capital. The bomb exploded when a US column passed by, inflicting the destruction and casualties.
The Resistance organization Salafi Squardons of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah announced its responsibility for the attack in a communiqu, a copy of which was received by Mafkarat al-Islam.
Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.
Three US troops killed in roadside bombing east of Ba‘qubah midday Tuesday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a passing US military column made up of four Humvees in the Jalula’ area, 30km east of Ba‘qubah (which is 70km north of Baghdad) at 12 noon local time Tuesday. The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in Ba‘qubah reported that the blast destroyed a Humvee and killed three US troops and moderately wounded a fourth. A source in the puppet police in the city said that the explosion came from a roadside bomb.
The correspondent witnessed US forces sealing off the scene of the blast. They then launched a wave of arrests, taking 14 local youths (including one who was mentally retarded) into captivity.
Salah ad-Din Province.
Samarra’.
Resistance pounds US base near Samarra’ with Grad rockets late Tuesday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces unleashed a Grad rocket barrage on the US base west of Samarra’, north of Baghdad, at about 11am Tuesday morning local time. Residents of the area around the base told Mafkarat al-Islam that they heard nine violent explosions shake the American facility followed by secondary explosions as US munitions began going off. The correspondent saw plumes of smoke rising over the base as helicopters flew over the facility at low altitude.
Bayji.
Resistance barrage on US base at Bayji blows up fuel storage, inflicts heavy damage, casualties.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired nine rockets into the US base in Bayji north of Baghdad at about 4pm Tuesday afternoon. The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam there reported a member of the puppet so-called facilities protection force said that the nine Resistance rockets blasted into the US base. He said that 40 US troops were killed or injured in the barrage. Four of the rockets struck a fuel storage depot for US military vehicles inside the camp, totally blowing up the whole depot in a huge blast that resulted in large numbers of casualties.
The correspondent reported seeing dense clouds of smoke and rising into the sky over the stricken facility in which fires could be clearly seen raging extensively, their flames rising high into the air.
More than 10 US helicopters could be seen flying around over the American base.
An American fighter aircraft returned fire at what the US forces believed to be the source of the bombardment, firing three rockets whose explosions shook the whole city. The American counter attack, though loud, produced no casualties, however, neither among the Resistance nor among local civilians.
Balad.
Heavy fighting lights up Tuesday night near Balad.
In a dispatch posted at 8:18pm Mecca time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting was raging between Iraqi Resistance forces and US occupation troops backed up by Iraqi puppet forces on the banks of the Tigris River west of Balad. The Americans also enjoyed the protection of their helicopters and gunships on the Tigris.
The correspondent wrote that more than 70 Iraqi Resistance fighters were battling a group of over 500 US occupation troops gathered together along with their vehicles, helicopters, and fighter planes. The Americans were intensively bombarding a Resistance position for about 10 minutes when the correspondent filed his report.
The Resistance, for its part, was responding to the American fire with light and medium-weight weapons, firing bazookas, mortars, Grad, Katyusha, and Tariq rockets as well as home-made missiles at the US troops.
The correspondent described the scene at the time, saying that the Resistance had destroyed more than six US Humvees, three armored vehicles, and one tank. They had killed a “large number” of US Marines, but had also taken a “not inconsiderable” number casualties themselves, particularly as a result of US F-16 and F-18 aircraft attacks on their positions.
Loudspeakers on minarets were broadcasting prayers and supplications to God to bring victory to the Resistance fighters. The smell of gunpowder suffused the whole area where night was turned into day by the heavy gunfire of both sides. The correspondent denied reports by some local residents that US Marines had fled from the battle, confirming that they were still there engaged in the battle.
Resistance shoots down two US helicopters in Battle of Balad, as city pours out to fight the American invaders. . .
In a dispatch posted at 8:25pm Mecca time Tuesday night, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Balad reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had shot down two US helicopters as fighting continued to rage in the city.
The first helicopter, an Apache, was struck by a Resistance C5K rocket in the air setting it ablaze. The second helicopter was destroyed by Iraqi Resistance ground fire. The correspondent was unable to determine the exact type of weapon used to down the second helicopter, but was able to confirm that the American crew had been killed instantly.
Meanwhile significant numbers of Iraqi Resistance fighters have been coming into the city to join the battle against the US invaders after an appeal was issued by a local mosque calling of all fighters and local people to join the fight. The correspondent wrote that not a man in the city remains but that he has picked up a weapon to go out and fight the invaders. The reporter noted that he even saw four middle-aged women heading out into the battle, one of them accompanied by her son.
With fresh fighters coming in, the balance in the fight was beginning to turn in favor of the Resistance, the correspondent wrote, particularly after some of the Resistance fighters were able to draw the Marines into an area near the banks of the Tigris that is too rough, rocky, and narrow to allow the American vehicles to maneuver with any facility.

The Resistance had threatened the chauvinist leader previously and pledged to assassinate him because of his attacks on the Resistance and his service to the occupation.
The statement that contained a threat to the chauvinist official was issued in Kirkuk four days prior to the assassination. The threat prompted Nuzad to turn local puppet police into his body guards wherever he went.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US and Iraqi puppet forces surrounded the scene of the assassination and began checking identities and searching the area but found nothing related to the attack.
