Resistance shoots down Black Hawk helicopter near Hit early Saturday.
Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US Black Hawk helicopter over the village of az-Zawiyyah west of Hit (which is 180km west of Baghdad) at 6am local time Saturday morning. Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the Resistance shot a shoulder-fired anti-aircraft Strela rocket that scored a direct hit on the aircraft, totally destroying it in mid-air and killing its two-man crew.

Resistance bomb kills four US troops near al-Habbaniyah.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column near the village of al-Fahhamah in the al-Habbaniyah area at 11am Saturday local time Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The blast destroyed one American Humvee and killed four US troops and wounded three more. The correspondent said that the bomb had been planted in the middle of a dirt road leading from the center of the al-Habbaniyah area to al-Fahhamah village. It went off when the US vehicle drove over it. The four Americans who were killed were riding in the vehicle that detonated the bomb, the wounded men were in the vehicle immediately behind them.

Resistance mortars pound US base in al-Qa’im.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired five mortar rounds into the US base known as A22 in the city of al-Qa’im on the border with Syria.
The local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the area around the base as saying that they heard five powerful explosions inside the facility at 2pm Saturday afternoon, local time, and they believed the blasts came from a mortar barrage hitting the camp.
The correspondent reported clouds of smoke rising from within the base as warning sirens wailed and American helicopters flocked in overhead at low altitudes.
Three American troops killed, two wounded in bombing near al-Hadithah Saturday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column made up of two armored vehicles and four Humvees in the village of al-Haqlaniyah east of the city of al-Hadithah, at 3pm Saturday afternoon local time. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb destroyed one US armored vehicle and killed three American soldiers. Another two US troops were wounded in the attack.
Villagers who witnessed the bombing said that Resistance fighters planted the bomb by the side of the main road in the al-Haqlaniyah and it went off as the US column was passing by. The witnesses said that three Americans were killed and two wounded in the attack and that they had seen their battered bodies strewn on the ground after the blast.

Resistance bomb kills two US troops Saturday night.
In a dispatch posted at 8:50pm Saturday night Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a four vehicle US military column that was driving through the as-Sikak neighborhood in the north of ar-Ramadi. The blast disabled a Humvee and killed two American troops and seriously wounded three more. The correspondent reported puppet police sources as saying that US troops arrested a person who happened to be near the scene of the bomb attack, claiming that he had planted the bomb. The Americans also surrounded the scene of the attack and at the time of writing were storming into houses where they were doing intense searches.

US responds to Resistance barrage by bombarding houses, killing three Iraqi civilians.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired five mortar rounds into the US base in the customs area in the city of al-Husaybah on the Syrian border Mafkarat al-Islam Saturday.
American forces then responded with a bombardment of their own at about 3:30pm Saturday afternoon, blasting houses in the city of al-Husaybah and killing three Iraqi civilians.
As-Saqlawiyah.
Resistance bombs target US troops in as-Saqlawiyah, ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah on Friday and Saturday, after American forces shoot Iraqi family dead at checkpoint.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded on the highway east of as-Saqlawiyah opposite the Shuhada’ as-Saqlawiyah neighborhood at about 9:30pm Friday night and then a second Resistance bomb went off in the same area at about 10:45pm Friday.
The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a third Resistance bomb exploded Saturday near the al-Faris al-‘Arabi middle school in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area south of the city of al-Fallujha causing minor damage to two US Humvees.
US forces for their part killed a family of four - a man, his wife, and two children - by a roadblock near the school on Friday. One passenger in the car who was not killed was also targeted by US gunfire at sunset Friday.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attack US convoy, set five captive Resistance leaders free.
A detachment of about 20 Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US convoy transporting five top leaders of the Iraqi armed Resistance who had been captured in various places around Iraq in the battles that take place daily throughout the country.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam, who compiled his report (posted at 11:20am Mecca time Saturday morning) at the scene of where the attack took place, wrote that the Resistance ambush destroyed three Humvees and killed 13 American troops and four Iraqi collaborators working for the invaders in Abu Ghurayb prison camp.
The correspondent reported Captain Ahmad Jawdah of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” - which showed up in unusual strength after the attack - as saying that more than 20 Resistance fighters attacked the American convoy with light, medium, and heavy weapons when it was in the area of adh-Dhahab al-Abyad village in the vicinity of Abu Ghurayb. Three American vehicles were destroyed and the transport vehicle in which the five Resistance commanders were being carried was disabled. The puppet captain said that the Resistance commanders were being taken to court in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Saturday afternoon, Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before the Iraqi Resistance fired a barrage of five RPG7 rockets at a concentration of a large number of US troops and vehicles, gathered in the Abu Ghurayb area after the Resistance raid that set five Resistance commanders free earlier in the day.
The afternoon rocket attack totally destroyed a Bradley armored vehicle and a Humvee and killed all the 11 American troops who were aboard them. The afternoon attack took place in broad daylight in before local witnesses. The two stricken vehicles had been parked by the side of the road as part of an checkpoint for local passers by. The Americans at the checkpoint had with them photographs of the escaped Resistance commanders and other fighters whom they were trying to capture.
In his dispatch the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that of the 11 Americans killed in the attack, the bodies of five were still inside one of the burning vehicles. At the time of writing, American troops were trying to extract those remains from the fiery wreck.
Witnesses said they heard the cries of the American troops calling for help from inside the vehicle as the fire began to blaze. Later their voices fell silent and they perished.
The correspondent described the scene in Abu Ghurayb as “bloody,” noting that the Americans had been knocked off balance by the series of two attacks in which a total of 24 US troops had been killed in addition to many wounded besides. As a result the Americans were frightened and volatile.

Resistance shoots down Black Hawk south of Baghdad, crew killed.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had shot down a US Black Hawk helicopter with ground fire a short while before.
The correspondent reported that the helicopter was flying at very low altitude when the Resistance fired a shoulder-carried C5K rocket at it, striking it from the front and completely blowing it apart, scattering small pieces through the air. The two-man crew was killed. Witnesses reported that the wreckage of the craft landed in a date palm grove west of the city and started a big fire blazing which local firemen were working to extinguish at the time the correspondent filed his report. US forces also arrived on the scene to search for the remains of the crewmen.

Nine US troops killed in mortar attack near Iranian border.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired a fierce barrage of 120mm mortar rounds at US military observation towers in the area of al-Mundhiriyah on the border with Iran at about 1pm Saturday local time. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the barrage left nine US troops and one Iraqi collaborator translator dead and several others wounded.
A source in the puppet “border police” told Mafkarat al-Islam that armed men attacked the three observation towers on the border strip between Iraq and Iran with mortar rounds, inflicting the casualties quoted above.

Three American soldiers killed in Tikrit bombing Saturday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a four-Humvee US military patrol as it went down 40 Street in downtown in Tikrit, north of Baghdad, at 5:30pm Saturday afternoon, local time. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast destroyed one Humvee and killed three American troops. A fourth American soldier was wounded in the attack as well. Local residents who witnessed the bombing reported that all the troops aboard the stricken vehicle were killed.

Six puppet “national guards” killed in Resistance bomb attack in Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted at 12:27pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” column in Samarra’ on Saturday. Witnessses said that the Resistance planted the bomb by the side of a road in the al-Mu‘tasim neighborhood in the city. It blew up by a puppet “national guard” pickup, totally destroying the vehicle and killing six puppet guards. After the attack, Iraqi puppet troops and police surrounded the attack site and hauled the bodies of the dead out of the wrecked vehicle.
Iraqi man tortured to death by so-called “interior ministry” father says.
An Iraqi who had earlier been shown on the puppet government-run al-‘Iraqiyah TV network saying he had attacked Iraqi puppet troops was tortured to death and then returned to his family, the man’s father charged Friday, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported.
Khalid Juli, a resident of Samarra’, said that his son, Qahtan, was delivered to him by the interior ministry's elite commando units. My son was killed after he was tortured by the ‘interior ministry’ commandos. They killed him to cover up the lies they broadcast on al-‘Iraqiya channel that my son killed many people, including Iraqi army officers,” Juli told AFP.
Juli’s son, a former member of the puppet police, was arrested for his suspected involvement in attacks against the puppet security forces. He appeared earlier this week on al-‘Iraqiya satellite television's “Confessions” program, on which captives identified as Resistance fighters are made to confess their “crimes.” There was no immediate confirmation from Iraqi puppet police of Qahtan Juli’s death.

Resistance mounts deadly rocket barrage on US base in Kirkuk Airport.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired six Grad rockets into the southern parts of the US base set up in Kirkuk International Airport Saturday morning. Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the attack took place at 6am local time.
Residents of houses near the American base said that they heard the thunder of 11 explosions shake the whole city after the attack and saw thick smoke rising into the sky. The correspondent himself, who arrived on the scene half an hour after the attack, reported seeing US Chinook and Apache helicopters making trips to evacuated dead and wounded out of the camp to Baghdad. More than eight US helicopters were involved in the airlift, a number confirmed to the reporter by Iraqi puppet officials at the airport. The puppet officials confirmed that the attack had left “a number” of dead and wounded American troops.

Resistance bombards south Korean camp with Katyusha rockets.
In a dispatch posted at 8:55pm Saturday night Mecca time, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Katyusha surface-to-surface rockets into the south Korean base in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil. Dense smoke was rising from the Korean occupied facility.
Local witnesses reported hearing explosions inside the camp after the bombardment, indicating that the Koreans’ own munitions had begun to explode. The south Koreans sounded sirens and Iraqi puppet police and collaborationist Kurdish chauvinist Peshmergah gunmen were seen heading towards the base. US helicopters came in to hover above the base and take part in rescue operations.
The correspondent noted that the attack was the first of its kind on the south Korean invaders in the camp they occupy.

Resistance car bomb kills six Americans, three British troops in al-Basrah Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:35am Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a joint Anglo-American military column in the middle of az-Zubayr, a town with a Sunni majority, in the area of the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah Saturday morning.
The blast killed six American troops and injured two more Americans. Also killed were three British soldiers and one more British soldier was wounded. The local correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Basrah reported eye witnesses as saying that an explosives-laden black Capris car exploded by the Anglo-American convoy, destroying one US Humvee and disabling a second and destroying a British armored Jeep. The witnesses reported the number of dead and wounded among the American and British troops and added that those who had been wounded were seriously injured.
The correspondent reported local residents as being surprised by the attack. One local man said, “the American and British vehicles were so big and the number of troops in the column so great that we said to ourselves that there’s no way the Resistance will be attacking this column today. But that car bomb was something nobody was expecting.”
Al-Basrah hospital announced that after the attack the body of the martyrdom fighter who carried out the car bombing was found. It was completely charred and no identification could be made as of the time of reporting.
