Al-Fallujah.
Two US soldiers found dead Saturday morning in al-Fallujah.
US troops in al-Fallujah found the bodies of two American soldiers at the end of the an-Nazal neighborhood on Saturday morning. Witnesses belonging to the Iraqi puppet regime’s security forces told Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Fallujah that the occupation troops had searched all night for the bodies, but only found them at about 8:30am Saturday. The source said that the name of one of the Americans was something like Steve Arson, and he said that on Friday night the American command had announced that they were “missing.”
A US soldier in the 4th division told Mafkarat al-Islam that the two soldiers were not shot but were killed by dogs who tore them apart. After hearing the soldier tell that to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent, an American officer boiled over with rage and forced the soldier to go back and tell the correspondent that the first story was not true, but that “terrorists” infiltrate the US-occupied areas at night to fight the Americans and that they did find bullet wounds on the two bodies.
The Americans prevented the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent from taking pictures of the bodies or of the place where they were killed. The correspondent noted that there are more than seven Arabic satellite TV stations inside al-Fallujah and yet they simply repeat what the Americans tell them, and pay no attention to what the al-Fallujah Resistance is saying. In this case the Americans allowed the news of the discovery of the bodies to be reported because the Mafkarat al-Islam reporter was on the scene and the US forces felt that the news was already out.
Residents and Resistance fighters told Mafkarat al-Islam that they had seen the black dogs of al-Fallujah, which have now become famous for supposedly attacking US troops, returning to the city.
Shaykh Ahmad ad-Dulaymi, the commander of one Resistance detachment in the city reported that the dogs came back during the Eid period on the Night of ‘Arafah and walked past their positions but headed for the positions of the “Crusaders” instead. When they got to the Americans, the Shaykh said, they could clearly hear the dogs barking and the Americans shouting and shooting intensely. The shaykh said, though, that he hadn’t seen any of those dogs dead since the battle for al-Fallujah began.
Al-Qa’im.
Resistance bomb kills four US troops in al-Qa’im Saturday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a US column made up of several military vehicles in al-Qa’im on the Syrian border at 3:30pm Saturday afternoon. The blast, on the road leading to the border village of al-Karabilah, totally destroyed a US Humvee and disabled a second and left four US troops dead and two more wounded, one of them seriously.
Witnesses in the many garages that sell fuel oil along that road confirmed to the correspondent that there were four killed instantly in the attack, and two more wounded. The other US soldiers carried the wounded away in a Humvee, while US forces surrounded the area, sealing off roads around it. They arrested seven passers-by, including three children who were with their father who was also arrested.
The Brigades of the All-powerful Triumphant God Saraya al-Qahir al-Jabbar announced their responsibility for the blast in a communiqu that was distributed in a mosque in the city.
Hit.
Resistance shoots down US helicopter, kills two-man crew.
Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US helicopter over the industrial works section in the eastern part of Hit at 4:25pm Saturday afternoon. The craft landed on a commercial store, totally destroying the establishment.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported a local Resistance commander as saying that the craft was shot down by 37mm anti-aircraft guns as it was photographing a mosque in which afternoon prayers were being said and in which members of the Resistance were taking part. “The helicopter had been observing their homes and places of work,” he said, “so after about half an hour we shot at it as it passed over an uninhabited area, the industrial zone also called the factories neighborhood.”
Witnesses said the crew was unhurt and was able to get out of the helicopter when it was hit, but the Resistance found them and killed them in the industrial area after a fifteen-minute gun battle with light arms. The Americans were able to kill one local Resistance fighter, but the two-man crew were both killed and their weapons and other materials ミ that the Resistance said would aid them militarily ミ were seized.
The Resistance in Hit has recently been able to shoot down a number of US aircraft after declaring the city’s airspace closed to US military traffic.
Resistance group says it executed 15 captured Iraqi puppet troops.
The Iraqi Resistance group the Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah Prophet’s Practice announced on a website Saturday that it had executed 15 members of the Iraqi puppet forces whom it had captured in the area of Hit. The statement said that “after they had been investigated and admitted to committing crimes together with the Crusader forces against civilians as well as the Mujahideen, the punishment prescribed by God was carried out and they were shot as an example for others.”
On 15 January the Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah had announced on the same website that it had abducted15 puppet troops. At the same time, the Iraqi puppet police announced that 15 puppet troops had been kidnapped by “gunmen” as they came out of a truck that had taken them from the US military base now called the al-Asad base in al-Anbar Province.
Al-Khalis.
Resistance attack destroys two Zionist Mossad GMC vehicles in al-Khalis Friday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Khalis reported that Iraqi Resistance forces armed with rockets and BKC machine guns destroyed two GMC vehicles belonging to the Zionist Mossad on Friday at 11:05am local time. The operation demonstrated once again the extent to which the Zionists are involved in the American aggression and occupation of Iraq.
Baghdad.
Chinese hostages released after China warns against going to Iraq. Resistance group says release “a sign of friendship governing relations” between the two peoples; no ransom was involved.
An Iraqi Resistance group that had been holding eight Chinese workmen hostage since their abduction early in January released the men. The Chinese embassy confirmed the release but said that they were still trying to learn where they were. The BBC reported that the hostages were handed over to the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ which acted as go-between in talks with the Resistance group.
The Resistance group said that it had decided to free the men after China agreed to discourage its citizens from going to Iraq. The group had threatened to kill the hostages if China did not clarify its position. The Chinese Foreign Ministry in Beijing had said on Friday, “the Chinese government warns its citizens against going to Iraq.”
A spokesman for the Resistance group read a statement on al-Jazeera satellite TV in which he said, “Based on a sign of good faith given by the Chinese government and which guaranteed that the republic would prohibit Chinese citizens from entering Iraq, the movement has decided to release the eight detainees in order to confirm the ties of friendship that govern relations between the two countries.”
The statement continued, “we also wish to point out that the detainees were treated well and that no harm whatsoever was done to them during the period of their detention, nor was there any bargaining with them or with their government for any ransom in any amount. God is Greatest! The Islamic Resistance Movement, an-Nu‘man Brigades.”
Resistance group attacks US company in Iraq, kills Briton, Brazilian, captures second Brazilian man working for the American firm.
The Iraqi Resistance organization Squadrons of the Mujahideen announced in a video tape, parts of which were aired by al-Jazeera satellite TV Saturday, that they had launched a joint attack, together with the Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah, on a US company operating in occupied Iraq. During the raid, they killed one Briton and one Brazilian and captured a second Brazilian whose identity paper was shown on the screen. The Resistance group seized the arms and equipment of the two men killed in the raid.
Curfew imposed for election farce.
The puppet so-called “Iraqi minister of the interior,” Falah an-Naqib announced that the US-installed regime was imposing a curfew on several cities, beginning at 8pm and lasting until 6am because of the impending election farce that is to be held on 30 January. In addition Saddam International Airport, now occupied by the US military, is to be closed on 29 and 30 January.
The puppet official further stated, at a press conference in Baghdad Saturday, that all car, truck, and bus traffic would be banned near the polling places. Meanwhile US and puppet officials said that puppet police and puppet “national guards” would deploy inside and outside polling places and in neighboring areas, further demonstrating the presence of the American installed authorities, which by its very existence makes the “election” a farce.
Diyala.
Resistance bomb attack in Diyala on Friday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Diyala Province reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column made up of three Humvees and two armored vehicles at 12:30pm Friday afternoon. The blast destroyed on Humvee and disabled a second. Five US troops were killed and three more were seriously wounded.
Kirkuk.
Resistance blows up four election centers in Kirkuk area.
Iraqi Resistance forces on Friday night destroyed four elections stations that had been set up in schools in northern Iraq. The attack came during the holidays for the Islamic Eid al-Adha festival, so there were no children in the target areas.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the Resistance blew up a model primary school that the US aggressor troops were turning into an election center, trying to use the children as human shields to protect their sham election farce, which is aimed at presenting the American occupation government of Iraq as some sort of “democratic regime.” The Americans had arranged that the children would go to school in the morning, but the US troops would take over at night.
The Resistance then blew up the al-Huwayjah Secondary School east of Kirkuk at about 5pm Friday, and blew up the al-‘Abbasiyah school in the village of al-‘Abbasiyah, north of the city.
Local residents reported that at exactly 6pm Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the al-Ansar school with mortar shells, believed to be 60mm in caliber, killing seven occupation troops and two Iraqis who were working in collaboration with the American invaders. The bombardment also destroyed the school.
Captain Ahmad Khalil of the Kirkuk puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that four election centers had been destroyed out of a total of seven centers. He said that this would force the election effort in the area back to square one.
Al-Basrah.
Four Danish invader troops killed in Resistance bombing near al-Basrah midday Saturday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a military column of Danish aggressor troops near their base south of al-Basrah at 12:15pm Saturday, killing four Danish invader soldiers, according to witnesses who spoke to Mafkarat al-Islam.
Local sources in the Iraqi puppet police confirmed the deaths of the Danish troops to Mafkarat al-Islam, but the Danish military command denied that any of their soldiers had been killed, saying only that there were “wounded” in the attack.
Czech satellite parliamentary body extends stay of Czech aggressor troops until end of 2005.
The lower house of the Czech Republic’s parliament ミ the Czech Chamber of Deputies ミ on Friday approved the extension of the country’s military support to the US occupation of Iraq until the end of 2005. The proposal still requires confirmation by the upper house, the Czech Senate, when it discusses the matter on 27 January.
Of the 181 deputies present, 125 voted in favor of the pro-American motion. Forty-six opposed the measure. The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia opposed Czech participation in the US occupation of Iraq.
Originally the Czech military contingent was supposed to leave Iraq at the end of 2004, but the Americans made use of the “election farce” that they have planned for 30 January to get the Czech parliament to extend the term of the Czech contingent in order to help “provide security” in 2005, a period of “higher risks” due to the sham “election.”
The Czech Republic has a 100-man contingent in occupied Iraq, serving Washington primarily by training the puppet police whose job is to die in the place of US troops. The Czech invader contingent also includes about 10 doctors. They are based in the British as-Saybah base, 25km from al-Basrah in the south of the country.
The Czech Republic has become a NATO satellite of Washington following the fall of the socialist government and the Warsaw Treaty Organization there some 15 years ago.
