Al-Fallujah ミ ar-Ramadi.
Pickup truck bomb strikes US troops in al-Fallujah.
An Iraqi Resistance truck bomb exploded at 10am Saturday in al-Fallujah amidst a US force in the al-‘Askari neighborhood in the east of the city. The explosion took place on al-Jaysh ash-Sha‘bi Street at the first intersection. A puppet “national guard” soldier told Mafkarat al-Islam on the scene that the car exploded among a group of 12 US troops. Seven US troops were killed at the time and five other Americans were wounded seriously. The puppet guard added that the vehicle used as the car bomb was a Nissan pickup belonging to the puppet “national guards.” It entered the al-‘Askari neighborhood from the eastern part of the industrial zone. “The Americans thought that it was friendly forces,” the puppet guard told the correspondent. An officer in the puppet guards reported that the truck had disappeared more than 15 days previous. Later, the bodies of those aboard were found in the middle of the street.
Resistance fires rocket barrage into US base in ar-Ramadi early Saturday.
Iraqi Resistance forces in ar-Ramadi fired seven Grad rockets at 7am Saturday into the US base that formerly was the headquarters of the Iraqi Eighth Division, but now serves as a secondary base for US troops in the ar-Ramadi area.
Two Resistance bombings shake ar-Ramadi.
Two explosions rocket ar-Ramadi on Saturday in the southern and northern neighborhoods of the city. The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in ar-Ramadi reported that the first blast came from a car bomb that exploded amidst a US column in the al-Bu Farraj village where there are many date palm groves. The blast destroyed a US Bradley armored vehicle and killed four US troops.
The second explosion took place in the north of ar-Ramadi and was the result of a heavy bomb planted on the side of 17 April Street. The blast destroyed two US Humvees and killed four US troops and wounded three more, two of them seriously.
Al-Qa’im.
US troops arrest, torture 8-year old boy for throwing a stone.
US aggressor forces on Saturday arrested a small child aged just 8 years old. The Americans arrested the child because he threw a stone at one of the US occupation troops and hit him in the head. They arrested the boy and tortured him for a whole day, according to what his father told Mafkarat al-Islam.
The Americans arrested 8-year old Dawud Salman and held him for a full day, from 10 am until 8pm Saturday when they threw him out on one of the dirt roads south of the city. They had severely tortured him in the chest and on his little face. At the end of his ordeal he was pale from hunger and thirst and the pain of torture. A patrol of Resistance fighters took him to one of the local mosques in the city, and from there he was taken home to his father.
Resistance attack in al-Qa’im.
At 7am Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces attacked and disabled a US Bradley armored vehicle near the radio tower in the city of al-Qa’im on the border with Syria, killing one US soldier, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.
Three beheaded bodies of US troops found in al-Qa’im Saturday night.
US forces found the bodies of three beheaded American soldiers who had gone missing three days previous. The corpses were found at the al-Qa’im customs check point at 7:30pm Saturday. A witness said that one of the soldiers had been shot in the head before he was beheaded.
A four-line message in English was found on the chest of one of the bodies, but the Customs employee who witnessed the scene was unable to learn what the English words said.
The American troops had searched with unusual intensity for the missing soldiers three days previously, carrying out numerous house raids and searches. When people would ask them the reason for the intensive raids, the Americans only would say that it was to search for “suspects” or that it was “routine.”
Al-Hadithah.
US sailor killed, another loses hand in Resistance bombing on Euphrates river.
Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a US naval boat in the city of Haditha, as it was patrolling the Euphrates river. Eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance destroyed the boat and killed one of the US troops and seriously wounded another. The Resistance had planted sticks of dynamite, apparently, under one of the fishing nets that had been spread out on the banks of the river.
Local fishermen said that one American fell dead into the river and that the other lost his hand when the explosion of the bomb blew the boat’s propeller into him. His hand fell into the river.
After the attack, US forces arrested three fishermen and charged them with preparing the attack.
Hit.
Resistance bombards US base in Hit.
Iraqi Resistance forces attacked the US “al-Asad” airbase ミ formerly known as al-Qadisiyah with several mortar rounds at 4pm Saturday afternoon. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Hit reported eyewitnesses as saying that fourteen 120mm mortar rounds struck the base and that clouds of smoke rose into the sky over the facility.
Baghdad.
Resistance rockets Abu Ghurayb prison.
At 6pm Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces fired Tariq rockets into the Abu Ghurayb prison. One rocket apparently fell in a fuel storage area in the northern part of the prison, causing huge fires inside the facility. US ambulance helicopters rushed to the scene to evacuate the wounded 15 minutes after the attack. Eyewitnesses reported that the Resistance had scored very accurate hits and that three helicopters landed and then took off loaded with dead and wounded. This was confirmed by an officer in the puppet “national guards” who spoke to the correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam and who was on hand at the time of the barrage to cover the release of some of the prisoners.
The puppet guard told the correspondent that more than 15 troops had been killed in the Resistance attack. This was confirmed by an Iraqi translator serving the US troops in the prison.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent had entered Abu Ghurayb prison and met prisoners who had been released Saturday. One of the released men confirmed as well that the prison is under consistent rocket barrages, at the rate of three or four attacks each week. He added that each time there is an attack the jailers come to severely beat the prisoners, “and that way we know that many of them have been killed. They came to take it out on us,” he recounted.
Iraqi Resistance attacks in ad-Durah.
A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the al-Bu ‘Isa area of Baghdad’s southern suburb of ad-Durah at 7:30am Saturday, destroying a Bradley armored vehicle and killing four US troops aboard it. After the attack US troops sealed off and combed the area, opening fire in various places. The also hauled off the wrecked vehicle.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a US Bradley armored vehicle near the puppet police station in ad-Durah at 9:30am Saturday, killing three US troops and seriously wounding two more.
Four heavy Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded on a dirt road in the Hur Rajab area of ad-Durah at 3:30pm Saturday, destroying two Bradley armored vehicles and killing six US troops and seriously wounding three others. After the attack US forces sealed off the area and arrested 14 Iraqi civilians.
A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the ‘Arab Jabbur area of ad-Durah, destroying a Humvee and killing three US troops. The remainder of the US column of which the Humvee was a part fled when the attack occurred at 3:30pm Saturday. An hour later, US forces returned under cover of an Apache helicopter and evacuated their dead and the destroyed Humvee.
Iraqi Resistance forces armed with BKC machine guns and driving a white Peugeot attacked a puppet “national guard” checkpoint on the highway in ad-Durah at 3:30pm Saturday, killing six puppet guards. The Resistance fighters then left the scene successfully.
Bomb wounds US troops in al-I‘lam district.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the al-I‘lam district of Baghdad at 10am Saturday, disabling a Bradley armored vehicle and wounding two US troops.
Resistance attack in ash-Sha‘b district.
Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with RPG7 rockets attacked a six-truck civilian truck convoy that was being escorted by two Humvees on the highway in the ash-Sha‘b district of Baghdad at 12:30pm Saturday, destroying two civilian trucks and killing four US troops. After the attack, US forces opened fire indiscriminately, killing two civilians and seriously wounding five more. Two hours later US troops returned to the area and arrested six persons from nearby houses.
Resistance attacks US column in al-‘Amiriyah.
Iraqi Resistance forces firing RPG7 rockets and BKC machine guns attacked a US military column on Airport Road in al-‘Amiriyah in Baghdad at 9am Saturday. Witnesses said the Resistance fighters came at the Americans from both sides of the road, destroying a GMC vehicle and a Humvee and disabling another Humvee. The witnesses were certain that there were eight US dead in the attack, in addition to three wounded. They believed that a high-ranking officer must have been among the dead, particularly in view of the confusion displayed by the US forces after the attack, and the fact that American forces surrounded the area for a full hour afterwards.
Resistance bomb attack in ad-Duwaylibah.
Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded on a dirt road in the ad-Duwaylibah area at 11:30am Saturday, killing five US troops. Other American troops then opened fire indiscriminately out of fear of other attacks, killing three Iraqi civilians who had been in the area. Their gunfire also disabled two civilian cars, one of them, a red Toyota Corolla, belonging to a disabled person.

Iraqi Resistance fighters firing RPG7 rockets attacked a civilian truck loaded with supplies for the US troops in al-Ghazaliyah at 10:30am Saturday, destroying the truck and killing two US troops.
Resistance attack in Abu Ghurayb.
Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded on the Old road in Abu Ghurayb, disabling a US Abrams tank and killing two US troops. American soldiers then opened fire indiscriminately, seriously wounding Iraqi civilians who happened to be in the area.
Resistance attack on Hayfa Street.
Iraqi Resistance fighters firing BKC machine guns and RPG7 rockets attacked a joint US-puppet “national guard” patrol on Hayfa Street in Baghdad’s al-Karakh district at about 11am Saturday. The attack left four US troops and seven puppet guards dead. US snipers killed three Iraqi civilians near the scene of the attack.
Resistance bombing in al-Mushahadah.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded as a US armored vehicle was passing through the al-Mushahadah area north of Baghdad at about 2:30pm Saturday, destroying the vehicle and killing five US troops. Witnesses reported that US troops arrested nine Iraqi civilians near the scene of the blast, and then hauled away the remains of the vehicle.
Resistance bombing in al-Ishaqi.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded as a US military truck was passing through the al-Isahqi area north of Baghdad at 11am Saturday, killing two US troops.
Resistance liquidates collaborators.
Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles and driving a black car attacked three lackeys of the US occupation who where driving a white Peugeot in the al-Jami‘ah area of Baghdad at 10am Saturday. The three lackeys were assassinated.
Iraqi Resistance fighters abducted six members of the puppet “national guard” from a puppet guard check point in the al-Mushahadah area of Baghdad. They were found later dead, their bodies tossed in the middle of a road.
Truck drivers who worked with the Americans found dead.
Iraqi puppet police on Saturday discovered two beheaded bodies west of Baghdad with which was left a note stating that they had been truck drivers and that they were killed for cooperating with the US occupation. The puppet police told Reuters that it was as yet unknown whether they were Iraqis or others. The bodies were packed in bags and dumped in a road. The not left with the bodies stated, “This is the punishment for all those who work with the Americans.”
Al-Latifiyah ミ al-Mahmudiyah ミ al-Iskandariyah ミ al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance bombings in al-Latifiyah, al-Makasib area.
An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded in al-Latifiyah, south of Baghdad at 9am Saturday. Witnesses said that the blast destroyed a US Bradley armored vehicle and killed three US troops. American forces then arrested eight Iraqi civilians who happened to be in the area when the bombing occurred.
Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded on the highway in the al-Makasib area, destroying a Humvee and a truck loaded with supplies for the US military. Four US troops were killed. The truck burned for more than an hour before US troops took it away to a wrecked vehicle graveyard in the area.
Resistance ambush west of al-Latifiayh.
Iraqi Resistance forces detonated bombs in the al-Jannabiyin area west of al-Latifiyah at 11:30am Saturday and then attacked with RPG7 rockets, destroying a US Humvee and a fuel tank truck loaded with fuel. Five US troops were killed. Eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that US Black Hawk medical helicopters landed to evacuate the dead and wounded and take away the smouldering wreckage of the vehicles.
US storms homes in al-Mahmudiyah; Resistance bombs take deadly toll.
At 6am Saturday a large force of US troops ミ estimated at more than 60 vehicles ミ stormed the city of al-Mahmudiyah. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city repoted that the Resistance had pulled out of the city prior to the Americans’ arrival. The US troops failed to find any Resistance presence to speak of, and they found no weapons either after having raided houses in the city. They therefore arrested no one during their raids, contrary to American claims that they had arrested a number of Islamic Army or at-Tawhid wa-al-Jihad fighters in the city.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the US force that entered from the four compass points divided up within the city into a number of areas where they attempted to provoke the local people by storming into houses randomly and ransacking people’s belongings. They were particularly brutal in the al-Kamaliyat neighborhood.
The correspondent reported that four Resistance bombs exploded under US troops. The first was in the area of as-Surah in the center of al-Mahmudiyah. There a bomb blew up as a Humvee was passing, totally destroying the vehicle and killing four US troops at 8am Saturday. The bomb had been planted under a telephone pole on the side of the road.
The second bomb, a very heavy one, exploded at 9:30am on al-Kamaliyat Street under a US armored vehicle, destroying it and sending parts of the vehicle flying all over the area, killing six US troops.
The third roadside bomb exploded at 10:45am in the middle of the northern part of al-Mahmudiyah, taking out a troop transport vehicle and killing 11 US troops. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent along with other eyewitnesses saw that bombing with their own eyes and watched as parts of the vehicle were hurled around the area by the force of the blast.
The fourth bomb exploded under a puppet “national guard” column in the south of the city, destroying a pickup truck and killing three puppet guards and wounding four others at exactly 11am.
The correspondent reported that the Resistance, desiring to protect the lives of the local population, had told the people not to leave their houses when the US troops entered the city. US troops also raided the cities of al-Latifiyah and al-Iskandariyah, opening fire indiscriminately and killing at least 15 local civilians. The US invaders also arrested more than 200 local people, adults and children. Puppet “national guards” robbed many of the houses that were raided.
Ba‘qubah - Diyala Province.
Puppet Provincial Chairman assassinated.
A source in the Iraqi puppet police announced Saturday that the Chairman of the puppet “governing council” in Diyala Province, northeast of Baghdad was assassinated at 2pm on Saturday by the Iraqi Resistance on the southern outskirts of Ba‘qubah, the provincial capital, 65km northeast of Baghdad.
Resistance forces reportedly opened fire on Nawfal ‘Abd al-Husayn ash-Shamari, the Chairman of the puppet “governing council” of the province in the at-Tahrir neighborhood. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that he died when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under his car on the main road leading to the building housing the provincial government offices.
Puppet police claimed that he was shot as he was sitting in a commercial establishment and died instantly. Ash-Shamari’s brother, who was with the deceased at the time, was also seriously wounded in the attack and taken to hospital. The deceased had occupied that post for several months after the previous chairman Hisham ‘Ata Shahhadhah resigned after repeated attempts on his life.
Local officials speculated that the official might have been specially targeted because he had requested US-installed puppet “prime minister” Iyyad ‘Allawai to launch a large-scale attack on Ba‘qubah to “cleanse it of terrorists” as he put it, as had been done in al-Fallujah.
Resistance downs US Apache helicopter near Habhab.
Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US Apache helicopter in the city of Habhab, north of Ba‘qubah. Eyewitnesses told the correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam who arrived at the scene an hour after the incident that Resistance fighters had fired a C5K rocket from an agricultural area. The two-man crew of the helicopter was found in the fields around the agricultural area, 500 meters from where the helicopter itself crashed.
Mosul.
Fourteen American troops killed in town near Mosul.
Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US patrol on Turkoman Street in the center of the city of Ba‘shiqiyah in Mosul Province at 3pm Saturday, destroying four Humvees and killing 14 US troops and wounding three more. Eight Resistance fighters were martyred, two of them fraternal Arab fighters. The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam learned that they were natives of the Arabian peninsula.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Resistance fighters fired RPG7 rockets and anti-personnel bazookas. The Abu Hanifah an-Nu‘man Squadrons announced their responsibility for the operation in a communiqu distributed in mosques in the city. The communiqu said that they had killed 20 troops, but the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent and eyewitnesses confirmed that 14 US troops had been killed and three more injured. The communiqu agreed with the narratives of witnesses and the correspondent when it reported that the Resistance had lost eight of its own fighters.
Al-Hillah.
Two Polish troops killed by Resistance.
Two Polish aggressor troops were killed in the city of al-Hillah at 6:55pm Saturday when they were arranging a line of cars waiting to receive their ration of fuel at a fuel station. A Resistance fighter on a high building across from the fuel station opened fire with an RPG7 rocket, killing the two Poles and wounding two other Polish invaders, one of them seriously. The attack also set the fuel station on fire. This report was confirmed by a puppet police officer in al-Hillah to the local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam.
A similar attack took place a few days previously on British invader troops who were killed in al-‘Amarah as they were directing lines of cars at fuel stations.
Bombardments throughout Iraq on Saturday.
At about 6am Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired three Katyusha rockets into the US base in as-Suqur south of Baghdad, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
At 7am Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Grad rockets into the US occupation headquarters in the Republican Palace area in Baghdad, known to the invaders as the “green zone.” Warning sirens wailed and smoke rose inside the facility. Eyewitnesses saw Black Hawk medical helicopters land in the area and take off again. They probably came to evacuate dead and wounded.
At 7am Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces fired six mortar rounds into the area west of Saddam International Airport around Abu Ghurayb, sending thick smoke rising into the air over the area.
At 10:30am Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces fired three Grad rockets into the area west of Saddam International Airport around Abu Ghurayb, sending thick black smoke rising into the air.
At 12 noon Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds into the British base in al-Mahawil north of al-Hillah in southern Iraq, sending clouds of smoke into the sky.
At about 2pm Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Grad rockets into the US al-Bakr base in Balad north of Baghdad, sending white and black smoke rising into the sky.
At 2:30pm Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 120mm mortar rounds into the US camp set up in the former headquarters of the Iraqi chiefs of staff in Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district, sending smoke rising from the building. Fifteen minutes later a Black Hawk helicopter landed to evacuate the dead and wounded.
At about 3pm Saturday, Iraqi Resistnace forces fired eight 82mm mortar rounds into the US camp set up in the former Iraqi Meat Company in ‘Uwayrij south of Baghdad, sending smoke rising into the sky over the area.
At 5pm Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Katyusha rockets into the US base in as-Suqur south of Baghdad sending smoke into the sky.
