Al-Fallujah.
Resistance mounts attacks throughout al-Fallujah on Wednesday.
Fighting broke out in most neighborhoods of al-Fallujah on Wednesday morning and was still under way when the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent filed his report posted at 9:20pm Wednesday night Mecca time (10:20pm local time).
According to eyewitness accounts, the fighting erupted in ash-Shuhada’, al-Jawlan, an-Nazal, ash-Shurtah, ad-Dubbat, al-Mu‘allimin, al-Jaghifi, and al-Jumhuriyah neighborhoods as well as the industrial zone.
The correspondent reported that light arms, mortars, and RPG8, RPG7 rocket launchers and BKC machine guns are being used by the Resistance, who surprised US forces with their attacks, which brought back memories of the fierce fighting of the first days of the US assault on the city.
The attacks are seen as a message from the Resistance that they still retain their power and combat ability to battle the US forces in any of the city’s neighborhoods. The fiercest fighting was reported in the al-Jawlan neighborhood.
Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent reported eye-witnesses as saying that they saw Resistance fighters carrying the Qamah ミ a weapon similar to a sword ミ which they use when the want to surprise and attack the US troops silently. Resistance fighters used that weapon to kill eight US troops on Tuesday.
Witnesses said they also saw the Resistance fighters carrying chunks of bread and fruit as well as small water vessels and small towels ミ provisions for them while they are embroiled in fighting for longer periods.
Ar-Ramadi.

Iraqi Resistance forces mounted car bomb attack in al-Khashshaniyah, north of ar-Ramadi at midday Wednesday. A martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car towards a US column that was halted at a puppet police station in the city. Witnesses reported that as the car drove towards the Americans at a speed that reached 120km per hour, the driver began shooting at the American troops.
The attack destroyed a Bradley armored vehicle and a Humvee and killed at least seven US troops. Residents were amazed to find the body of the Resistance martyrdom fighter blown 200 meters from the scene of the attack, where the mangled bodies of the Americans still lay.
Resistance bombardments free captive girl.
US forces arrested the young woman Raghd al-Fahdawi, 22, when they failed to capture her wanted brother on charges that he belongs to one of the Resistance organizations.
US troops took Raghd away from her home on al-Mustawda‘ Street in ar-Ramadi at about 10am Wednesday and off to confinement on their base east of the city. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the screams of the young woman shook the residents of the city and prompted the Resistance organization the Army of Muhammad to unleash a barrage of 13 Ababil and Grad rockets at the US camp that lies near the glass factory. The American al-Warrar camp east of ar-Ramadi was also targeted; the Resistance firing forty 120mm mortar shells into that facility.
After such furious bombardments, US troops released Raghd and returned her safely to her home.
Western Iraq.
Seven Americans trying to escape military duty in Iraq shot dead by tribes near Syrian border.
More and more US troops seek to escape the “hell” of Iraq by sneaking across the border into Syria, Mafkarat al-Islam reports. The route out is not necessarily safe, however, as the Americans are sometimes spotted and targeted by Bedouin tribes. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that seven US troops were trying to make the Syrian border to get out of Iraq when they crossed the territory of the Makr ad-Dib tribe at 1pm Wednesday. The Bedouin spotted the Americans in uniform and killed them.

Former US Marine says unit killed 30 Iraqi civilians in just 48 hours.
Agence France Presse (AFP) has reported a US Marine who is seeking political asylum in Canada has reported killing over 30 Iraqi civilians in 48 hours while on duty in Iraq, confirming similar claims made by another American fugitive.
In graphic testimony presented to a Canadian asylum tribunal on Monday, Sergeant Jimmy Mssey’s evidence bolstered war crime claims made by US paratrooper Jeremy Hinzman.
The 26-year-old Hinzman said he would face persecution if sent home to the US, in a politically charged case which could set a precedent for at least two other American “deserters” seeking asylum in Canada.
Massey told Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) that men under his command in the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, killed more than 30 civilians within 48 hours while on checkpoint duty in Baghdad.
“I do know that we killed innocent civilians,” he said, relating the chaotic days after the US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
Massey said in some incidents Iraqi civilians were killed by between 200 and 500 bullets pumped into four separate cars which each failed to respond to a single warning shot or respond to hand signals at a Baghdad checkpoint.
At the time, US soldiers feared bombers would try to ram checkpoints, he said. Searches found no weapons in the vehicles or evidence that those killed were anything but innocent civilians, he added.
He said Marines also killed four unarmed demonstrators and more Iraqis the following day durin another spell of checkpoint duty in the Iraqi capital.
“I was never clear on who was the enemy and who was not,” said Massey, adding “when you don’t know who the enemy is, what are you doing there?” Massey is a 12-year Marine veteran who was later honorably discharged from the Corps with severe depression and post traumatic stress disorder.
In his tribunal, which started Monday, American paratrooper Jeremy Hinzman argued that he gradually realized after joining the Army in 2001 that he could not bring himself to kill another person. Hinzman, whose tribunal was expected to conclude on Wednesday, arrived in Canada earlier this year having taken his family and “deserted” from his military unit in the United States.
