Resistance now mounting 115 to 125 attacks per day.

In a notice posted at 6:15pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance attacks in Iraq are now taking place at a rate of 115 to 125 per day. The website apologized to its readers and the Iraqi people for not being able to report all these attacks individually.

Al-Fallujah - ar-Ramadi Province.

Fighting breaks out near al-Fallujah as US closes its ring around the city.

Fighting light and medium arms took place near the northern al-Jaghifi neighborhood of al-Fallujah Saturday morning, lasting for about half an hour.

US forces reportedly completed their encirclement of al-Fallujah on Saturday once again, returning to the positions they held four days previous. Once again all access to the city has been closed off, except for the route to as-Saqlawiyah where a US command post is located.

For their part Resistance forces have deployed throughout the city in preparation for an American attack. Outside, the number of ambushes by Resistance forces in Abu Ghurayb on the way to al-Fallujah has been on the rise, as Resistance forces inside and outside the city are reportedly in contact. It appears that the defense of the city will be similar to the defense mounted in spring this year, during the last major US offensive on the defiant city.

Thirty-one US Marines blown up in massive Resistance car bombing in ar-Ramadi.

At least 31 US Marines were killed when an Iraqi Resistance GMC car bomb driven by a martyrdom fighter exploded near a US command post at the eastern entrance to ar-Ramadi near Celebration Square and the al-Haqq Mosque. A US Zil personnel carrier with at least 25 Marines on board was there at the time of the attack, along with three Humvees. The attack car aimed at the personnel carrier and when it exploded, it killed 31 US troops, their shredded body parts scattering over a 55-60 meter area. The explosives loaded into the attack car were apparently heavy and powerful because after the blast the three Humvees had been destroyed and nothing remained of the troop transport but a burning frame.

US troops machinegun five Iraqi civilians to death in ar-Ramadi.

US aggressor troops in ar-Ramadi trained their Humvee-mounted machine guns on an Iraqi civilian car and opened fire in cold blood, the local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported, killing five local residents as they drove along Twenty Street in the city.

US admits 20 troops wounded by Resistance in ar-Ramadi.

The US military admitted that 20 of its troops were wounded in what it called “security operations” in ar-Ramadi. Local eyewitnesses quoted by al-Jazeera, however said that Iraqi Resistance car bomb attacks targeted the US camp in the al-Fajjariyah neighborhood at the entrance to the city. Ar-Ramadi has seen an upsurge in Resistance activity prior to the launch of a US offensive on neighboring al-Fallujah.

US gunfire, not Resistance attack, cause of civilian deaths in incident in ar-Ramadi.

Fierce fighting broke out at midday Saturday on Twenty Street in ar-Ramadi after which US aggressor troops opened fire indiscriminately on the area killing and wounding numerous local civilians. The local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam noted that some media had incorrectly attributed the Iraqi civilian deaths to an Iraqi Resistance attack, but this was not true.

Resistance shells US headquarters in ar-Ramadi.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the headquarters of ar-Ramadi governorate where US occupation forces have their local headquarters with 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds. Afterwards, US troops sealed off the area and raided houses in the al-‘Aziziyah neighborhood looking for Resistance fighters, and sealed off the at-Ta’min neighborhood.

Baghdad.

Two CIA agents, 12 US Marines killed in car bombing near Abu Ghurayb.

At least 12 US Marines were killed along with two US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agents in an Iraqi Resistance car bomb attack at about 2:45pm Saturday. The car bomb exploded next to a US column proceeding along the highway west of Abu Ghurayb on its way to al-Fallujah. The car bomb blasted into two Humvees, a GMC command car, and an armored personnel carrier, destroying them. The GMC was believed to be driven by an officer in the US CIA. More than 10 other US personnel were wounded in the attack, two of them severely.

Two US troops killed in Abu Ghurayb ambush.

Two US troops were killed when Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a US military supply truck loaded with provisions and heading towards al-Fallujah on the highway passing through Abu Ghurayb west of Baghdad at 5pm Saturday. The Resistance fighters fired RPG7 rockets at the vehicle.

Three US troops killed, two others wounded in bombing in Salman Bak.

Three US troops were killed and two wounded when a heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under their amphibious armored vehicle in the Salman Bak area south of Baghdad at 4:15pm Saturday.

Five Marines, one a woman, killed near Abu Ghurayb prison.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked US troops with SPG9 and RPG7 rockets in the Abu Ghurayb area near the prison at 4pm Saturday, killing five US Marines and seriously wounding two more. One of the dead was an American woman Marine.

US spy shot dead in at-Taji.

Iraqi Resistance fighters firing Kalashnikov assault rifles and GSs killed a spy working for the Americans as he got out of his Corona car in al-Mushahadah north of at-Taji at about 2:15pm Saturday afternoon.

Four Marines killed, three wounded in bomb attack.

Four US Marines were killed and three others wounded when a heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US military column near the Khan Darri area west of Abu Ghurayb at 3:15pm Saturday. The blast destroyed a Humvee and disabled an American armored vehicle.

Badr Brigade collaborator official killed.

An official in the Shi‘i chauvinist collaborationist Badr Brigades was assassinated when Iraqi Resistance fighters hurled grenades and opened fire on him with Kalashnikov assault rifles as he was about to get into his 2001 Mercedes in al-Mahmudiyah south of Baghdad at about 2:30pm Saturday.

An official in the Shi‘i chauvinist collaborationist Badr Brigades was assassinated when Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire on him with Kalashnikov assault rifles as he proceeded along a street in the south Baghdad neighborhood of al-‘Amil Saturday.

Two US troops killed in evening bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded as a US military column was passing through the al-A‘zamiyah neighborhood of Baghdad at about 6pm Saturday evening, destroying one Humvee and killing two US troops aboard it.

Three CIA agents, seven US troops killed in Saturday evening ambush.

Iraqi Resistance forces ambushed a US military column on the highway between the al-‘Adl neighborhood and the al-Hurriyah neighborhood in ad-Dawli‘i north of Baghdad at 5:30pm Saturday evening. The Resistance fighters fired RPG7 grenades and BKC automatic weapons and destroyed one GMC vehicle belonging to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and two military Humvees. Three US intelligence agents and seven American soldiers were killed in the ambush. Four Resistance fighters were wounded in the engagement.

Officer in puppet forces assassinated.

At about 1:45pm Saturday, Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire with Kalashnikov assault rifles on an officer in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” on al-Fahhamah Street in downtown Baghdad’s al-Karakh district as he stepped out of his car, killing him.

US lackey assassinated.

At 2:30pm Saturday Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire with Kalashnikov assault rifles on a lackey of the US occupation regime in the al-Muharibin neighborhood in the as-Sayyidiyah area south of Baghdad, killing him instantly.

Four American troops killed in bombing in ‘Arab Jabbur.

Four US troops were killed when a large Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded as a US Bradley armored vehicle was passing through the ‘Arab Jabbur area north of Baghdad at 2:30pm Saturday. The blast was so powerful that it split the Bradley vehicle in two.

Four Da‘wah Party collaborator officials killed.

Four officials in the Shi‘i chauvinist Da‘wah Party were killed, one of them the person in charge of the party’s office in the ash-Sha‘b district of Baghdad. Resistance fighters attacked the four collaborators as they left their party offices at 2pm Saturday afternoon.

Two Marines killed, one wounded in ar-Ridwaniyah.

Two US Marines were killed and a third wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in ar-Ridwaniyah southwest of Baghdad at about 3pm Saturday afternoon.

Three US troops, translator killed in bombing Saturday afternoon.

Three US troops and a collaborator translator, believed to be a Sudanese, were killed when a heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded and destroyed their vehicle in the Hur al-Basha area west of at-Taji at 2:30pm Saturday.

Three US troops killed in bomb attack in al-Mahmudiyah.

Three US troops were killed and a fourth wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the al-Mahmudiyah area south of Baghdad at 1:15pm Saturday, destroying a Humvee.

Twenty-nine US troops die in spectacular Resistance ambush west of Abu Ghurayb.

A detachment of 45 Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US column west of Abu Ghurayb as it headed from the later town towards al-Fallujah. The Resistance ambushed the Americans by detonating several heavy bombs under their vehicles. Then the Resistance fighters attacked and split the American column, concentrating their fire on a Zil personnel carrier and three Humvees. Twenty-nine US troops were killed in the attack, and four Iraqi Resistance fighters were martyred. The attack was a part of continuing Resistance efforts to cripple the planned US offensive against al-Fallujah.

Car bombs target US troops in Baghdad.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb struck a US convoy on Airport Road in Baghdad, wounding three US troops and martyring the driver of the attack car. Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported Saturday that three US military vehicles were disabled in separate attacks in Abu Ghurayb.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired two rocket-propelled grenades at a US patrol on the highway near as-Sayyidiyah at 1:30am Saturday, destroying one Bradley armored vehicle and killing three US troops and inflicting first-degree burns on another.

At about 9:30am Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at a white car believed to belong to US intelligence in the al-Khadra’ area of Baghdad, killing two US personnel.

Four US troops killed in bombing in Duwaylibiyah.

At about 10:15am an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in Duwaylibiyah west of Baghdad killing four US troops.

Three US intelligence agents, four American troops killed in Baghdad car bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter detonated a car bomb next to a US column on Airport Road near the Equestrian Club at 9:45am Saturday, destroying a GMC armored command car and killing three US intelligence agents aboard it, one of them an officer. A Humvee was also destroyed in the attack and four US troops in it were killed.

Five Marines killed in Abu Ghurayb.

At 9:15am Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at a US supply truck on the highway in Abu Ghurayb south of Baghdad, totally destroying the truck and a Humvee that was escorting it and killing five US Marines.

Four US troops killed in double bombing.

At 9am two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded in succession under a US patrol in the area of the Diyala bridge, totally destroying an amphibious armored vehicle and killing four US troops.

Four US troops killed in ar-Rashidiyah bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at 7:30 in ar-Rashidiyah in the area of the parks and gardens, destroying a Humvee and killing four US troops.

Two US troops killed in early morning ambush in al-Makasib.

At about 6:45am Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at a US supply truck on the highway in al-Makasib south of Baghdad, killing two US troops.

Al-Latifiyah.

Three Marines killed, two wounded in bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in al-Latifiyah at about 7:30am Saturday, destroying a Humvee and killing three and wounding two US Marines.

Samarra’.

Thirty-seven puppet troops killed in coordinated Iraqi Resistance car bomb offensive in Samarra’.

Medical and puppet security sources announced that some 37 persons, mostly puppet policemen and puppet so-called “Iraqi national guardsmen,” were killed and dozens more wounded in four car bombings and other armed attacks on puppet police stations and governorate buildings in Samarra’, 125km north of Baghdad.

After the blasts, US occupation troops battled Resistance fighters and sealed off the city, effective as of noon Saturday. Reuters reported that among the dead was Brigadier General ‘Abd ar-Razzaq al-Jarmani, the commander of a puppet rapid deployment unit under the puppet so-called “interior ministry” in the city. Wounded in the attacks was the puppet governor of Samarra’, Major General Tariq Kamil ‘Uwayd.

At least six US Marines were killed Saturday morning when Iraqi Resistance fighters fired RPG7s and BKC automatic weapons at a US military foot patrol in Samarra’.

Zionist Mossad has assassinated 310 Iraqi intellectuals since fall of Baghdad.

A conference held in Cairo recently disclosed that the Zionist Mossad had assassinated at least 310 Iraqi intellectuals since the occupation of Baghdad in spring 2003. Ambassador ‘Abd ar-Ra’uf ar-Ridi Deputy Foreign Minister stated at the conference that there was a US-“Israeli” plan to kill and drive out the largest possible number of Iraqi scientists and intellectuals. The aim, other participants said, is to eliminate any intellectual who might pose any sort of threat to the Zionist colonial entity. Dr. ‘Imad Jadd, a specialist in “Israeli” affairs at the al-Ahram Study Center disclosed that the US had taken 70 Iraqi scientists to closed camps in order to prevent their going to places where they might join anti-American activities. He added that Iraqi statistics reveal that more than 310 Iraqi scientists had been killed and 17,000 had fled the occupied country. The Iraqi Higher Education Ministry confirmed the figures, according to a report carried by Mafkarat al-Islam.

At 5pm Saturday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired three Katyusha rockets into the US airbase at al-Muthanna in Baghdad.

At 6:50pm Saturday Iraqi Resistance forces attacked the US as-Suqur base south of Baghdad with five Katyusha rockets.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the British base in al-Mahmudiyah south of Baghdad at 4pm Saturday.

At 6:40pm Iraqi Resistance forces fired rockets into the US occupation headquarters in the Republican Palace area of Baghdad, known to the invaders as the “green zone,” sending plumes of smoke into the sky.

At 8:10pm Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Grad rockets into the “green zone.” The rockets came near the Babil Hotel before crashing into the “green zone.” Flame was continuing to blaze in the area of the attacks according to the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in a dispatch posted at 2:25am Sunday local time (1:25am Mecca time), indicating that the rockets hit fuel tanks or other inflammable targets.
