Mr Berg blames the US administration for his son's death

Berg's father at anti-war rally
Last Updated: Wednesday, 30 June, 2004, 17:24 GMT 18:24 UK
The father of an American civilian beheaded in Iraq has addressed an anti-war rally in London.
Michael Berg, 59, a retired teacher from Westchester, Philadelphia, was a guest speaker at the Stop The War Coalition demo in Parliament Square.
His son Nick, 26, was murdered by Iraqi insurgents last month, after being kidnapped in Baghdad.
Mr Berg accuses President George Bush of being "unable to see the suffering caused by the war".
Three days after his son's headless body was discovered, a video tape of the execution was posted on an al Qaeda-related website.
Mr Berg described his son as an idealistic adventurer who went to Iraq as a supporter of the government, a decision which had led to a difference of opinion with his father.
The pair had "agreed to disagree" over Iraq and had always respected each other's views, Mr Berg said.
But he added he would never get over the pain of losing him.
"People like George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, they do not see the pain that people have to bear, they do not know what it feels like to have your guts ripped out," he said.
He said he had received thousands of letters, emails and telephone calls from people expressing sympathy about Nick's death.
But he told BBC Breakfast that President Bush had not been in contact but that his rival in the presidential race, Senator John Kerry, had.
He also said that he held Tony Blair and the UK Government responsible for his son's death.
The anti-war coalition is calling for the "illegal occupation" of Iraq to end and urging protests at the 'puppet' handover".
Coalition convener Lindsey German said: "He is a man of very, very great courage. We are very pleased that we have him over here for this occasion."
The rally began at 1800 BST.
