Belarus and Russian scientists intend to create a transgenous goat.

Proteins of human nature will be transported to goats’ DNA in May, Interfax news agency quoted an official of Belarus Breeding Institute, Alexander Budevich, as saying. “To receive unique milk that can develop immunity, we will bring lactoferrin that exists in woman's milk into the animals’ DNA,” he said.

Woman's lactoferrin will be brought into DNAs of over 100 animals from an experimental flock belonging to the Belarus institute.

In case of success, “the goat’s milk will become a new remedy for heart diseases and the best milk for artificial feeding of babies,” Budevich said.
