Palestinians Expect ICJ to Rule against "Israel's" Separation Wall
Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qorei said that the Palestinian Authority expects the International Court of Justice in the Hague to rule against the separation wall "Israel" is building on the West Bank. Meanwhile, "Israel's" Channel 10 reported that "Israel" will dismantle an eight-kilometre section of its West Bank wall two days ahead of the International tribunal hearing on the legality of the wall. A defence ministry spokesperson was unavailable for comment. Residents of western villages in occupied Jerusalem staged a rally to protest against the wall. The protesters headed to villages threatened with annexation, but the occupation forces banned access to media as well as supporters, saying the area is a closed-off military zone. The Mufti of occupied Jerusalem and the holy land Sheikh Akrama Sabri said, "If the occupation authorities were conducting normal and proper acts, it wouldn't have banned people from reaching there. This confirms that we are on the right side and the wall is on the wrong side." Spokesman for the Orthodox Church Father Atallah Hanna said, "We are banned from reaching these besieged villages that’s why I'm here with my brothers to express our extreme protest and condemnation. We also express our solidarity with the besieged brothers in these villages." Residents in Ramallah also staged a march towards Beit Horoun settlement, which lies on the lands of Beit Gor village. They shouted slogans that call for the removal of the wall. The Palestinian authority has condemned international silence to the construction of the wall.
