661 days have passed since America launched its latest Crusade against Islam and its people.
A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases.
Mujahideen Shot Down US Helicopter in Zarmat
PESHAWAR (AZZAM):
Mujahideen units shot down a US helicopter in eastern Afghan region of Zarmat with missile fire.
The US gunships were engaged in search of al-Qaida and Taliban suspects in the mountainous terrain of Zarmat.
Eyewitnesses account that the helicopter caught fire as soon as it touched the ground and there were no survivors.
Later on, Wednesday night mujahideen units launched a rapid guerrilla attack over a coalition military convoy in Giankhail border village of Paktia province.
Seven Coalition troops were reported killed in this ambush while many others sustained life threatening injuries.
As soon as the US central command were informed of the attack, the US warplanes heavily bombed Giankhail mountainous region.
The losses due to heavy US bombing are not yet known.
The law enforcing agencies managed to neutralise a bomb before it could explode in Kabul.
The bomb was fitted in a shoe-box lying in a shopping centre.
Heavy loss of lives and wealth was anticipated had it exploded.
Security agencies have so far failed to identify the suspects behind this plot.
No arrests have been reported.
"Taliban Fresh Attacks Are Concerning", Chief of the US Central Command
ISLAMABAD (AZZAM):
The chief of the US central command General John P.E.B Zaid met Pakistan President Musharraf.
Vice chief of Pakistan army staff and US ambassador to Pakistan also attended the meeting along with other high officials.
General Zaid is a Lebanese Christian and he has recently taken charge of US central command in Afghanistan from General Tommy Franks.
He stressed on the fact that Pakistan and US forces will jointly facilitate operations against al-Qaida and Taliban and mujahideen.
The fresh blaze of mujahideen attacks over coalition and US forces in Afghanistan was discussed in detail as it was the key agenda of the meeting.
The US General informed Musharraf that these fresh Taliban attacks are major threat and cause of serious concern to US army.
General Musharraf reassured of his full length support and reiterated the fact that Pakistan has so far handed more than 500 mujahideen to US forces.
He reflected his views on this fact with conviction that Pakistan has in-fact won the race of arresting and handing over the largest number of mujahideen in the World.
Musharraf added that no other coalition partner holds this standing in this respect.
