655 days have passed since America launched its latest Crusade against Islam and its people.
A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases.
48 US and Afghan Troops Killed in Mujahideen Attacks in Afghanistan
MEERANSHAH (AZZAM):
In an ambush operation by mujahideen near the Pak-Afghan borders in Giakhail region, ten coalition troops were killed on the spot while several others sustained life threatening injuries.
The mujahideen attack was highlighted with relentless Kalashnikov firing.
Four warplanes took off immediately after the attack from Bagram airbase and approached the scene.
The warplanes carried out heavy missile fire over mountainous terrain, but no loss of lives occurred on part of mujahideen as they had safely evacuated the region after inflicting heavy casualties on coalition forces.
Two helicopters were seen transporting ten body bags of coalition troops amongst the injured.
The coalition forces have setup camps in the region after the attack.
Mujahideen continued their ferocious guerrilla strikes in Spin Boldak.
Dozens of Karzai militia troops were killed and many sustained life threatening injuries.
One US military tank was also destroyed in these attacks due to which three US marines on board the tank were also killed.
Afghan sources claimed that seven mujahideen were also martyred during the battle.
Mujahideen sources confirmed that in this battle 35 Afghan troops were killed while three US marines were also killed as a US military tank was destroyed.
The mujahideen sources verified the martyrdom of a mujahid.
The clashes initiated on Sunday night at 9pm in various areas of Sheedoaba region.
The clashes occured at short intervals.
Afghan sources still claim that a grand operation is in progress in the region and seven Taliban were martyred in this battle.
An important Taliban spokesman from anonymous location accepted this battle and said that one of the mujahid brother embraced martyrdom while 35 Afghan troops were killed and seven others sustained life threatening injuries.
He added that one US military tank was targeted with rocket launched fire and was destroyed leaving behind three dead US troops.
As last reports arrived in late last night there has been no fighting going on in the region while mujahideen units have evacuated the region safely.
The US and Afghan troops from Kandahar have also arrived in the region and are seen engaged in search operation.
So far no arrests have been reported.
According to SANA news, a Taliban commander Maulvi Abdul Jabbar said that 120 Afghan troops were killed in this battle.
Eyewitnesses also admit of dead bodies of Afghan troops in large numbers lying in the region.
There has been miscellaneous reports about US and Afghan casualties but their death toll is between 48 and 120.
On the other hand deputy commissioner of Spin Boldak admits of 14 casualties including three Taliban martyrs.
These figures have been rejected by independent reliable sources.
