Three More American Troops Die In The Killing Fields Of Iraq

Two US soldiers were killed Monday morning when an man dropped a grenade on a military patrol vehicle from a road bridge at an intersection in broad daylight in central Baghdad.

Iraqi policemen said later three soldiers appeared to have been killed in the blast, but there was no US confirmation of the attack.

Elsewhere, witnesses said a US soldier had been killed when a rocket-propelled grenade was fired in Baquba, 60 kilometers from the Iraqi capital.

The new deaths bring the total number of US soldiers killed and acknowledged by Centcomm to 52 since bush declared victory however our sources put the actual toll at three times that number.

The US public so far has remained silent on the daily casualities that continue to mount in a war that continues to be surrounded in controversy.
