水曜日に届いたレポートによると、タリバンがザブル州全土を掌握、ムッラー・アブドゥル・ジャッバルを州知事に任命。
アフガン政府はタリバンのこの主張を否定、ザブル州知事ハミドゥッラー・トキはカンダハル州政府に支援を求める。
この間にタリバンはザブル州の支配を一時放棄して山岳地帯に撤退し待機中。

Taliban flutter " White flag" in Zabul

Taliban have claimed of capturing Zabul province of Afghanistan while Afghan Spokesman while denying claimed of maintaining control over provincial headquarter.
According to reports reaching here Wednesday, Taliban warriors have secured control over all the districts of Zabul province except one without any resistance and hoisted Taliban's White flag on all the offices in the province.
Afghan Militia has fled leaving arms and ammunition and other things.
Taliban have also named Mullah Abdul Jabbar as Governor of Zabul province.
On othe other hand, Governor Zabul Hameedullah Tokhi has claimed of Afghan Government control on all the government offices and institutions.
He has sought assistance from Kandahar provincial administration.
Meanwhile, Taliban leaders have directed their Mujahideen in Zabul province to vacate the control in the province for the time being and take their positions in the mountains.
However their control over the province continued till last reports came in.
