アメリカがイスラムとイスラム教徒に対する最新の十字軍戦争を開始してから603日が過ぎた。
大勢のムスリム捕虜がこの十字軍に捕らえられてキューバのグアンタナモ湾へ連行された。
彼等はキューバで無理やり顎鬚を剃られ、マラリアや熱射病、他の熱帯病に罹りやすい籠に入れられている。
●米軍基地にロケット攻撃
カブール（アッザーム）：
聖戦士軍がアフガニスタン国内の数ヶ所の米軍基地を攻撃した。
土曜日の朝、聖戦士はクナール州の州都アサダバードの軍事基地を攻撃した。
数発のミサイルが直接基地内に射ち込まれた。
基地の軍スポークスマンは、攻撃があったことを認めたが、犠牲者がでたことは否定した。
聖戦士は、ウルガンとガルデズの基地もミサイルとロケットで攻撃した。しかし、従来通りに犠牲者がでたことは否定された。
アフガンの政治面では、アフガニスタンの元大統領ラッバーニとザヒル・シャーが同盟を結ぶなど、一層の進展があった。
新聞社とのインタビューでラッバーニは、「私が再び国のために尽すことを民衆が許すのなら、私は国家の平和の為に重要な役割を果たすことが出来る」と、話した。
彼は更にこう付け加えた：「現時点での緊急課題は、この国の法と秩序の状況である」。
他に、ナイマトゥッラー・シャハラン副大統領が訪問先の中国から戻った。
副大統領は、「訪問は成功だった、中国国民会議は制裁後初めて、中国企業にアフガンでの営業活動を許可した」と、語った。
●民兵グループに撤退命令
マザリシャリフ（アッザーム）：
イギリスの駐アフガニスタン大使は、アフガニスタン民兵グループとその指導者にマザリシャリフから去るよう要求した。
その要求は、イギリス大使とアフガニスタン北部の知事達との会談でなされた。
地域における法と秩序の状況（の改善）は、最優先課題である。
バルフ、ファリヤブ、ジョズジャン、サマンガーン各州の知事がその会議に出席した。
国防副大臣ラシッド・ドスタム将軍と彼の敵ムハンマド・アタもまた出席していた。
英国大使は、「平和と安全保障の為、全民兵グループおよび内務省と国防省のスタッフを妨害する政治党派は地域を去らねばならない。そして、アフガン警察軍が法と秩序に対する責任を負わねばならない」と、話した。
12人の死者を出したドスタム軍とアタ軍の血生臭い衝突のあとでこの会議と先の会議が開催された。
アタは以前には、検問所をアフガン警察に引き渡すことに同意したが、あとになってこれを撤回した。
しかしながら、関係する全グループは、原則として地域における全権限を警察に移譲することに同意した。

A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases.
Rocket Attack at US bases in Afghanistan
KABUL (AZZAM):
Mujahideen forces have attacked several US bases across Afghanistan.
Mujahideen targeted a military base in Asadabad, capital of Kunar province, on Saturday morning.
The attack consisted of a blitz of several missiles fired directly into the base.
A military spokesman at the base confirmed the attack but denied that they had incurred any casualties.
Mujahiden also attacked bases in Urgun and Gardez, again using missiles and rockets, but as before the incurring of casualties was denied.
Further developments in Afghanistan's political scene have included the formation of an alliance between former Afghan president Rabbani and Zahir Shah.
In an interview to a newspaper Rabbani said that he could play a major role in the establishment of peace in the country if the people allowed him to serve again.
He further added that the law and order situation in the country is the most pressing issue at present.
In other developments, the Vice president of the collaborative government Naimatullah Shahrani has returned from a visit to China.
He described his visit as successful and said that the Chinese National Congress has now permitted Chinese companies to operate in Afghanistan after an initial ban.
Afghan Militia Groups ordered to evacuate Mazar-e-Sharif
MAZAR-E-SHARIF (AZZAM):
The British Ambassador to Afghanistan has demanded that Afghan militia groups and their commanders leave Mazar-e-Sharif.
The demand was issued during a meeting between the Ambassador and governors of Northern Afghanistan.
The law and order situation in the region was at the top of the agenda.
The governors of Balkh, Fariyab, Jozjaan and Sumangan provinces attended the meeting.
The deputy Defence minister General Rashid Dostum and his opponent Muhammad Atta were also present.
The British ambassador commented that in the interest of peace and security all militia groups and political parties bar employees of Interior and Defence ministries, should leave the region and that the Afghan police force should take responsibility for law and order.
This and an earlier meeting have taken place after a bloody clash between troops of Dostum and Atta left 12 dead.
Atta had earlier agreed to hand over check posts to the Afghan police but later back tracked.
However all groups concerned have agreed in principle to hand over all authority to the police force in the area.
