Call Moves Up at Digital Domain
O’Melveny alumni C. Bradley Call has just been promoted to head of business development and chief administrative officer at Digital Domain’s special effects studio. Already a senior vice president there, his new responsibilities include overseeing the Venice-based company’s human resources and purchasing departments. He will maintain his focus upon business development and the expansion of the studio’s feature development division. Digital is wrapping up its work on “Red Planet” and “X-Men,” with “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” still in the making. Its first in-house production, “A Thousand Cranes,” is scheduled to begin filming before the end of this year. Call will continue serving as Digital Domain’s general counsel, a position he has held since 1996.
Prior to joining Digital, Call spent six years at O’Melveny & Myers as a corporate attorney in the Los Angeles office. He joined the firm in December 1990 and his work included negotiating Digital Domain’s partnership agreement with Cox entertainment.
“Brad has been instrumental in furthering Digital Domain’s global business opportunities and in formulating our strategic direction,” said Digital Domain CEO Scott Ross. “His diligence and creativity in putting together our deals, such as Digital Renaissance in Germany, the new Pentamedia deal in India and ‘A Thousand Cranes’ development in Japan is helping make our dreams become a reality.”
