ウズベク人指揮官アブドゥル・ラシード・ドスタム将軍の戦士が日曜日に、サレプル州のゴファンディ地区を占領した。
彼等は3日の間、アタ・ムハンマドの軍隊と激しく戦った。
最後の戦闘で、アタの戦士が6人死亡、15人が致命傷を負った。
マザリシャリフの上級指揮官たちは（日曜日の）状勢分析に忙しく、ドスタムのスポークスマンはコメントを拒んだ。
日曜日の午前2時30分頃、聖戦士がミサイルでコーストのサハラ庭園空港の連合軍基地を攻撃した。

A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases.
Two Governors Suspended in Afghanistan
KABUL (AZZAM):
Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, has suspended the governors of two Afghan provinces.
Governor Muhammad Aman of Yarwan province and the governor of Badakhshan province were accused of disobeying the Afghan president.
Fighters of Uzbek commander, General Abdul Rasheed Dostam, captured Gofandi district of Seepul province on Sunday.
They fought heavy battles with Atta Muhammad's troops for three consecutive days.
Six of Atta's fighters were killed and 15 others sustained life threatening injuries in the final battle.
In Mazar-e-Sharif, seniors commanders were busy resolving the situation on sunday and Dostam's spokesman declined to comment.
At about 2:30 AM on Sunday morning, mujahideen targetted the coalition forces base at Sahara Garden airport in Khost with a missile attack.
Five missiles were fired in this attack.
Afghan and coalition forces vainly carried out a large scale operation subsequent to the attack.
At approximately 9pm on Sunday night, mujahideen made a major assault on Special Forces residences near the Sahara garden airport.
Mujahideen used hand grenades, rockets, heavy machine guns and various light artillery in this attack which lasted approximately two hours.
Coalition forces stated that there were no loss of life.
In the Ismail region of Khost, mujahideen ambushed Special Task Force general Habib Noor.
The bodyguard of the general was seriously injured in this attack.
The Special Task Force chased the attackers and claimed to have killed them.
