540 days have passed since America launched its latest Crusade against Islam and its people.
A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases.
Taliban and US Troops Clash in Kandahar
KANDAHAR (AZZAM):
Reports have surfaced that a fierce clash between Taliban and US troops has begun near Kandahar;
early reports also suggest that US troops are suffering heavy casualties.
Voice of Germany reported that B-52 bombers and helicopter Gunships pounded suspected Taliban locations in Sangesak Shaila some 70 km north of Kandahar.
It is thought that around 100 Taliban troops have engaged US troops and another 600 US fighters have been sent to bolster the US attack where the battle still continues.
A Kandahar police spokesman commented that US troops are incurring heavy loss of life.
US Special Forces Killed in Ambush, Helmand
BAGRAM (AZZAM):
Two US Special Force troops have been killed along with another injured in an Ambush by Mujahideen.
According to US military command in Afghanistan the troops were patrolling the Greesak region of Helmand province in a group of 4 armoured vehicles, when unknown attackers ambushed the convoy.
Three Afghan troops were also killed in the attack.
The names of the dead troops have not yet been released.
International Red Cross Suspends Operations in Afghanistan
KABUL (AZZAM):
The international Red Cross has suspended all its activities in Afghanistan after one of its engineers was killed in a gun attack.
The 39 year old Swiss engineer was surrounded by a group of people in the Tareen Kot region and shot dead.
Later crowds gathered nearby chanting slogans for the Red Cross to leave Afghanistan and warned local Afghans against working for the IRC.
