報道車の標識をつけ、空港に向かっていたAl Jazeeraの車が米軍の銃撃で停止させられ、調べられた。その時点で疑わしいものがなにも無かったのに関わらず、再度動き出した車に再び銃撃を加えた。
乗員はドライバー（雇われたイラク人）のみで負傷はしていないもよう。

CAIRO, April 7 (Itar-Tass) - U.S. soldiers fired on Monday at a car belonging to the Al- Jazeera TV channel on the highway going to the Baghdad airport. There was only one person in the car - an Iraqi driver employed by Al Jazeera.

According to his information, the U.S. patrol opened fire at the car, which had on it the emblem of the TV channel, damaged it and forced it to stop. When the car stopped, the soldiers searched both the car and the driver, but found nothing suspicious. As soon as the car moved on, the driver continued, the soldier fired at it again without any reason, breaking the back glass. The driver was not wounded.
