546 days have passed since America launched its latest Crusade against Islam and its people.
A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases.
Karzai's Trustworth Companion and his Nephew Assassinated in Uruzgan
KABUL (AZZAM):
A well known tribal head and trustworthy companion of Hamid Karzai was assassinated in southern Afghan province of Uruzgan.
Mulla Jeelani and his nephew were shot dead when they were leaving their residence.
Jeelani provided shelter to Hamid Karzai at the time US led strikes over Afghanistan began.
He thus safeguarded Karzai from being arrested by Taliban regime back in 2001.
His death is a major set back to Afghan president Hamid Karzai.
Sources disclose that there were very close relations between Karzai and Jeelani.
Intense Battle Continues Between Mujahideen and US Troops in Southern Afghanistan
KABUL (AZZAM):
The US and its allies are engaged in a severe battle with Mujahideen in southern Afghan regions.
US sources claim to have killed eight Taliban and arrested 15 others.
The US military spokesman stated that one Afghan soldier was killed and three others sustained life threatening injuries, but no casualties were inflicted on part of US forces.
The Governor of Kandahar also accounted that fierce battle on Thursday in mountains near to Spin Boldak left many Taliban suspects killed.
There has been doubts among Afghan interim government administration of southern Afghan regions including Kandahar, Spin Boldak, Uruzgan and Helmand due to reports of presence of many famous Taliban leaders and increased frequency of effective guerrilla strikes in this region.
Several Afghan officials have resigned from their jobs.
A meeting was held on Friday between US military officials and high rank officials from the Afghan government.
They agreed upon anti-Taliban operation in Afghan regions adjacent to Pakistan border region of Chaman.
US troops in APCs were seen heading to southern Afghan borders after this decision.
